Nyspoli's Pool was the very heart of the Aldgar lands. To all the wolves of Aldgar, it was a place of peace and relaxation, to enjoy the cool waters or perhaps catch a small bite of fish to eat. No one expected such a place to be tainted with evil. But they were about to be proven otherwise...
A lone black female wandered the shores of the small lake, a wide snarl marring her features, eyes narrowed in a rather frightening glare. Although the bloodlust had suceeded in leaving Astar's body, she was still throughly pissed... at Ardemu, Sloth, and the whole band of Knaves. Maybe joining that idiotic band hadn't been such a good idea... Ah well. I'm better off on my own anyway. the black female thought, her brown orbs scanning the area.
This seemed like the perfect place to rest and get a decent bite to eat, since Astar hadn't had anything but a stolen bison leg for ages. Maybe when she obtained such objects, she'd be in a better mood to possibly return to the Knaves. Though Astar wasn't exactly expecting a warm welcome from any of the members, she would take any and all punishment as it came. Right now, however, the Gray female couldn't care less about what happened to that band of bastards.
Damn, where's one of those pathetic pack wolves when you need them? Astar thought, growling. If she was actually able to kill a pack member, that would just make her rather crappy day all the more interesting... Ardemu can go ahead and rot in that field for all I care. Time for me to actually have some fun... A wicked smile curving across her maw, Astar strolled over to a nearby tree and began clawing at it wildly, stripping the bark away from the surface and letting it crumble to the ground.
Growling savagely, Astar repeated the process until a good half of the tree was flayed from its bark, then stood back, admiring her handywork. That is exactly what will happen if those pack wolves dare to oppose us... she smirked. Imagine, her doing to the pack wolves what rogues had done to her father all those years ago! Astar let her mind slowly drift back to that day, a wicked smile still firmly plastered onto her maw...
A young Astar stared in horror down at her father's mangled body, or at least what was left of it. After killing him, it seemed that the rougues had helped themselves to a little snack before leaving the territory for good. Her mother was also with her, staring in horror, anger, and grief down at Nagur's body. "Why, Mommy? What'd Daddy do to them?"
Anira stared down at her, her eyes filled with unseen tears. "Some wolves are just... messed up, honey. I don't know..." Her mother stared down at her father's body for a few more moments before shaking her had and looking up at the sky. "C'mon, it's getting late. We should probably bury him..."
With a low sigh, her mother fastened her teeth into Nagur's neck, pulling him along as well as she could. Astar could still clearly see the tears spilling from her mother's bronze orbs, splashing onto her father's blood-stained pelt... with a reluctant sigh, Astar had turned to follow her, knowing that nothing would ever be the same again..
Almost as soon as Astar snapped out of her vision, a low howl came from the nearby forest. Astar snarled in distaste, it was that Red bitch again. As Wrath blurted out that she'd managed to kill the former alpha of the lands, a frown spread across the black female's features. "How interesting..." she muttered, pulling herself to her feet. So, Wrath had actually managed to kill that brute Xinelil?
Well, whoop-de-do for her! That didn't mean that she had to prance around like she owned the whole territory, which she most certainly did not. Astar had only ever heard of the Aldgar alpha twice, once when she had heard a band of rougues talking about him in passing, and just recently, when he had handed over his territory to a new alpha. Just then, a new thought occured to Astar.
This new alpha might be young, inexperienced at handling a whole territory. With Ardemu's help, the Knaves could easily conquer this territory! It would be his to control! Oh, poor Ardemu is gonna love this... Astar thought wickedly. A whole territory, just to themselves... but first, she had to find the alpha.
It was now official. A dark shadow had found its way into Aldgar territory.
