Vee had ventured from the den's to grab a bite to eat. It had been nearly a week, and not much wildlife forage in the scorching desert of The Occasus. Vee was well fit for the desert by now. His fur was short but dense, and skin was still fragile to the sunlight. He easily gets sunburnt if out in the sun for too long, so he is always careful about his limits.
The deaf albino alpha stuck near the den site, he knew he could smell a small herd of bighorn sheep, a rare sight to see in this neck of the woods. The brute didn't know why this mountain was a good place for them to chill out, because if anything they are roasting in the sun's heat with lack of shade. Vee had the upper hand in this battle, the sheep's stamina wouldn't last long in this heat.
Vee scurried down the slopes, it was evening time, so it had cooled of slightly. He could feel vibrations from their hoofs clicking against the brownish orange clay-like stone of the Pievunt-An. That told him he was getting close, their scent lingering with the heat of the desert. His red eyes targeted a buck, his horns curled largely due to his age and wisdom. He was most likely the oldest one in the herd, and a bit on the sluggish side. This was the perfect opportunity to bring food home for the pack.
Vee stuck out like a sore thumb, being pure white against the browns and reds of the desert, one could see him from a mile away. Luckily, the Bighorns were dense and stupid, not even smelling him nearby. The big male crept closer to the heard, some of the more coherent sheep sensed his presence and began to wander further up the mountain. Without any further hesitation, Vee rushed forward with jaws agate, snapping right at the old buck's jugular.
It must have been the easiest hunt Vee had ever done. The bighorn didn't even struggle, he must have already been on his death bed. After only a couple minutes, the prey was limp in the Albino's jaws, and he quickly trotted back to the den's entrance only half a mile away. Once arrived, he set the prey on the den's floor, the blood staining his pure white muzzle. Licking for a moment, Vee yawned and spoke lazily. "Dinner is served."
