Glazier had always wondered what pack life was like. In her early days, her mother often told the pup and her her brother about working to take prey and curling up next The femme's feet pounded into the snow, sending the damp slush out behind her as she pressed forward, every gallop bringing her closer to her destination. Her breathe, warm and fast-paced from her run, was visible in the chill of the morning. Though she and her partner had been moving for so long, the wolf didn't seem to tire- not anymore, as she'd gotten closer to where the other femme with her said they had to go. The absolute glee- the thought of a new home- had spurred her into a full sprint, leaving the other behind to follow as she might. Her black fur bristled slightly, her nose twitching as she skidded to a halt and sent a spray of white all about her thick black coat, leaving her speckled by the frost. "Syren," she called between pants and threw her head around to see where the other had gone. "Hurry! I think we've made it!" she struggled to hide the impatience in her voice, and failed, as she barked.
Glazier's nose lifted, testing the air carefully. Yes, her assumption had been correct- scent markers were left here, giving silent word to outsiders that the land beyond was claimed, and that trespassers would not be welcome. A feeling in her gut tugged, and the wolf lifted her head, ears pricking. The new sensation made her whine- she wasn't exactly nervous, or excited- well, she was, but this feeling was different. Perhaps... She was eager? Or Anxious? Her bright eyes flickered from one tree to another, expecting something to come out at her, but nothing came. After another moment of letting her eyes wander, she directed her attention to her partner.
"Syren, this is the place, yes? You're not mistaken?" Her paws pushed deeper into the snow, until she touched the cold ground and dug her nails inside and out to occupy herself. The nerves ran through her body like wildfire now, and she needed a grip badly. She hoped her friend would reassure her and release her doubt. "I... We just... Howl, yes?" She swallowed nervously and glanced at the other, waiting for approval, before taking a breathe and releasing a smooth, clear cry to echo in the forest.
