Not a word was uttered from Tehrin’s maw after she swooped in and saved her sister from the ravenous brute. Had it been any other femme, Tehrin would have easily turned a blind eye and let nature take its course, but it was her sister’s innocence that was in jeopardy and she would not allow it to be ravaged. The femme trotted at an even pace, away from the hot springs and deeper into the vast prairie. Along the way Tehrin made sure to avoid any fresh scent trails of other wolves, she wanted complete and utter privacy, the ensuing conversation would be for the ears of her two siblings only, that is, if Torrah had sense enough to find his sisters on his own accord.
Now that Tehrin had located her younger sister and was reunited with her, Torrah had become the most of her worries. That hare-hearted loser will never find us, but I don’t have the time to spare to track him down too. I suppose it is my fault for leaving him. He’d better not make a loud entrance if he comes here, we need to keep quiet and out of the pack’s eye until our plans are completely set in stone. How easy my life would be had I not these two pain-in-the-ass siblings under my wing. With that thought she shot a sharp look over at Akihra. Tehrin had a bone or two to pick with her half-sister. One for deserting herself and their brother to meet with their grandfather, and another for the trouble she wound up in. How could she be so careless and defenseless? Had I not taught her enough self-defense in our time together? Idiot.
After having trekked several miles into the prairie, where Tehrin’s nose didn’t pick up on a single fresh scent, the femme picked up her stride for a few paces to get in front of Akihra before abruptly turning and coming to a halt to face her sister. Her amber hues burned into her sister’s own eyes, conveying the anger and frustration she felt towards her acts of disobedience. “Akihra,” she managed to spit between clenched teeth before swallowing deeply to contain some of her fury. “How long have you been in my company? Over a year now yes? Then don’t you think by now you would understand the consequences of undermining my authority?” Tehrin managed to keep her voice steady, but an inevitable heavy dose of venom leaked out with each word. Her tail flicked with impatience, it was time to cut to the chase.
Tehrin suddenly sprung forward, grabbing her sister’s scruff between her ivories and forcing her to lay on the ground at her feet. Releasing her sister, Tehrin began to circle Akihra, glaring down at her where she lay on the ground. “You know that I’m going easy on you today, after the almost-incident I just saved your ass from,” Tehrin got in her sister’s face, snapping her teeth hardly an inch from her cheek, “but know this, this is the last time I put up with your shit-headed defiance and let you walk away without something on your body broken, got it?” Tehrin straightened up before walking straight over her sister and over to a spot a few feet away before turning and sitting to face her sister.
Tehrin smirked, “Karma’s a bitch ain’t it?” There was an underlying double meaning to Tehrin’s words as her thoughts wandered beyond the present. “Betray me and look where you end up?” Sighing, Tehrin stood up again, she couldn’t stay still, her nerves were a bit excited and adrenaline was still left over in her body after her brush with Rapture. “You can get up now, we have pressing matters to discuss, matters concerning Zethrox, the future of his pack, and us.” Tehrin eyed Akihra curiously for a moment before inquiring, “You spoke with him yes? You’ve spent a decent amount of time around here. You will tell me everything about the exchanges and encounters you have had with him, right down to the minute details.” Her amber hues were intense and expectant, she needed to everything that had happened from the moment Akihra and Zethrox set eyes on each other. The smallest of complications could completely destroy her orchestrations.
