Sapphire watched the passings between the two fimileur wolves and wished she was not at such a loss to the history between the two. Yet, in the middle of the confusion the words of Akitla reached her and caused a gentle laugh from her maw. She bit back on it, knowing it was inappropriate for the situation. Her mirth was the wisdom in the other wolf and the strange way she used it. Her mirth died however when Jay began to decide a course of action. She watched him make decisions with, maybe not complete confidence, but with a determination that suprised her. She smiled at him as she told the bird to stay and iot was clear he was going to try and talk his friend around. Her smile was one she hoped to inspire confidence in the other. Her ear would be perked until he returned to her. Listening, if he was to call there would be not but a second delay until she replied. Sapphire understood however that this was something he had to do. he was finally facing his past, not wollwing in it or running from it.
Jay turned to her now, apoligy in his eyes and in his words. She nodded her head respectibly towards her beta, and her friend.
"I understand Jay, go, do what you must do."
She murmured to him, watching as he turned and left the small gathering of wolves. Eventually, as the bird began to address her, her eyes turned to the snowy creature.
The bird's contempt for the other wolf was in the snort of her tone, the direction of her words. Clearly repsect with this bird was hard earned as Sapphire knew it maybe be a while before she was able to fully call the bird friend. Yet, Sapphire hoped that she weould be able to accomplish it. She knew that Alearia would be a good friend, that was clear by the way she treated Jay. Jay... taht was the other reason for the importance of this bird's friendship. Sapphire held no doubt that the snowy owl would remain at her friends side for a long time to come. Because of the importance of Jay's friendship, she would do what she can to make Alearia feel welcome.
The owl spoke then of the alpha position, and she fleetingly wondered if she was what the bird might class as Alpha material. The thought passed however, it was barely important now. She could nto doubt herself at the birth of her pack, and nor would she.
"I can only hope that Kadhi will help him overcome the sadness of his past, rather then enforce it"
Was Sapphire's response, looking at the owl for a long time, before dropping her eyes and looking at the other two members of her pack.
"We will know soon enough, however"
She sighed, trusting that Jay knew what he was doing and turning her attention to the young pup and the one with healer potential.
"Alearia, I know we got off to a rough start, but will you help me? Your friendship with Jay means I trust you immediatly, and well I would never expect it of you, but would you help me watch over my pack?"
