Dihren had decided to travel in search of joining a pack just as he hoped his younger siblings were doing. Wolves were not designed to live alone and he knew that pack wolves lived longer than loners. Pack wolves tended to have more food and constant water along with more wolf contact which was better for a wolf's brain.
He had just been walking around aimlessly until he found this beautiful land. He smelled the scent of a pack but, it smelled a bit weak or fading. Either the pack was dying or the hadn't scented in a while. Or maybe there just wasn't many wolves in it. That didn't matter to Ren. He would prefer to catch a pack on the way up than when it was on the top. The pack had beautiful land and smelled like food wasn't a problem. He didn't know if there was much water or not but, by the looks of the grass he was sure water wasn't a problem. Getting in a pack while it was down, meant that when it went up he would have been a member for a longer period of time and, most wolves want to join pack at their peak but, that is their mistake. When many members are asking for membership, usually packs only choose the most qualified wolves if any but, while a packs numbers are low or food is scarce, packs will almost always accept any member who asks. That was his thought anyway. Ren was a thinker. He liked to figure out things in his mind and to observe things to figure out how they worked. These things could range from body language/ another wolves mind to waterfalls and rivers or why leaves change in the fall.
Ren was sitting on the outer edge of the pack's territory when he allowed his bass song caress the air. Ren wasn't a very large wolf, he was average size for a grey wolf male. He weighed about 120 pounds and a height and length to match. He looked neither skinny nor bulky. He was average in body but, extraordinary in the mind. He wasn't good at having long conversation especially when it was small talk so, he hoped that the alpha or alphena either accepted him or rejected him fairly quickly. He wouldn't mind shory conversation but, anything over 15 minutes would be too much.
He took a moment to observe the rolling hills in front of him. They were beautiful things.
