Imara let out a low whine when her nose picked up the scent of a fresh kill. She watched as the Alphaess took off towards the kill scent. The small wolf could feel the fury radiating from the large Fae. She still had not received permission to hunt and the scent of the kill was making her stomach rumble loudly. She refused to follow the Alphaess, the scent of the kill was tempting her from this distance, if she got within sight of it she was unsure if she would be able to resist temptation.
She was so hungry… she was tempted to run off and hope to cross the border before she died of starvation. She knew that the desert was behind her, across a river. She could make a mad dash for the uninhabited land, where she had the ability to hunt to her hearts content, but that land was so far away, and the pray was harder to catch. She was unsure if she would have the energy after the trip to even hunt.
With a huff she laid down resting her head on her paws. She would just have to wait. Waiting for the Alphaess’ return would not make a difference at this point, it had been too long since her last meal. She would have to eat here or move forward to the next territory and hope for the best.
She wondered if she should change her request to the Alphaess, she wanted to be part of a pack, if the alphaess chased her from the territory for her request it would be no different than being denied the right to hunt. She groaned, at this point there was nothing she could do because the Fae had left to chase down who ever had hunted in her territory.
Her eyes shifted the wolves around her wondering what they would do, would they follow the Fae? Would they stay here and watch her? This was a strange group of wolves and for a moment she felt bad for the Alphaess, none of these wolves, except the white female and the other small wolf, but even he only smelled somewhat like pack. They were all rogues, encroaching on the territory. She had made a mistake, she feared that this would not turn out good.
