The Oriens... Hadrian was not unfamiliar with cooler lands of the east. He had been here before, in the days he'd lived as a wandering nomad. In the time of no pack it was actually fairly peaceful territory. He'd liked it here, found it comforting. It also had a rather unique set of vegetation. Nyspoli's Pool was a haven for a number of fantastic water plants and it was rumored that the very rare Isalandi Flower was housed someplace within the Usklhon Caverns. Particularly of interest to the aging male, however, was the Ilad Kambata. The pain reliever was hard to find and even more difficult to obtain, but knowing so much as its whereabouts was rather valuable. Nestled within the rocky slopes of the Kinath, its existence had drawn his attention.
Hadrian had not crossed the mountainous border simply for the plant life, however. No, he had more important things weighing on his mind. For the past year he had travelled the continent on his own, familiarizing himself with the land. He had gathered intelligence on the packs that lived here and spent his days helping loners and strays that seemed to require medical attention. It was a lonely life though, not the kind he wanted to spend the rest of his days living.
Fleeting moments with complete strangers and never having a permanent home was taxing. It was not the life he'd wanted. The last year had been a growth period, a journey to discover whom he really was. And, Hadrian had grown into a better wolf. He was a more competent canine, having finally found his true purpose. He missed pack life though, the feeling of having a family, others around to care for and protect him the way he cared and protected them. Hadrian wanted to settle to down. The question was, where?
The Amar pack had sounded like a good fit. The rumors that surrounded Descai were rather ominous and he had heard word of tension between Airila and Isata. That left Haishin and Amar as his potential new homes and, given Amar seemed to be the more secluded of the two, he had chosen it as his first choice. Location meant everything to a male hardened by battles and conquest. Fortified by mountains with the ocean on one side, the Oriens seemed safer, protected. Thus, standing just inside the border at the base of the Kinath, Hadrian threw his head back in a respectful summoning howl. It was a request to meet the one called Kiddo, to see if he could join the pack.
