The plains weeds were brushing his sides, though he was used to this, Lucian has lived in the plains his whole life. He didn't know where we was going, he had no travel plans, yet. Half sprinting and half walking, paying attention the his surroundings, making note of potential land marks. He had a large tree as his home It grew in an odd, twisted way that made it easy to climb, so he was able to hide in the leaves if any threat come around. Of course, the animals living around him are all small and passive, and there is little chance another wolf would happen to walk up to this specific tree. There was a pond not far from here, where he got his water, and the trees around him were plentiful with small prey. The skies were slightly cloudy, but it didn't look like rain here. In the distance, however, there seemed to be a storm forming, near the pond he got his water. He was heading the opposite direction, but decided to head back, towards his tree, and hope the could beat the storm to it.
Walking back towards his tree, he began thinking what he had in his tree. He had a little hollowed out part of the tree where he kept his few belonging, it had a few medical herbs, some berries, but mostly it was filled with ivy. Ivy is a plant very useful in medical treatment for wounds, it is a slightly tall plant, with three leaves on the top. Its juices work as a heavy pain killer, and when chewed, an anti depressant. Lucian is not depressed, but he chews it anyway. The juices numb his tongue till he can't taste, so he often eats (when he actually does) before beginning another dose of ivy. It's an addiction you really need to lose, He heard a voice in his head say. "That'll be the day..." He said it aloud, even though no person was talking to him, no physical person, anyway. He reached his tree and looked at the hollowed out hole, the berries were all gone, something had eaten them. Knowing he would be faced with hunger if he didn't find food, he set his site on a small bird, and the chase began.
His mother taught him about medical treatment, and how do identify different herbs, but his father taught him to hunt. When he hunts, he almost loses his positioning instinct, only paying attention to the prey, this isn't want his father taught him, but this is effective, for Lucian, anyway. He slowed when he noticed he was heading towards the pond, looking up the sky was a lot darker here. The bird flew away, too far for him to bother going after again. Lucian didn't want to be caught in the middle of a storm with no shelter, so he began to turn around, when he noticed two other wolves, standing next to the the pond. Other wolves? That is a sight for soar eyes!
He calmly began to approach, but realizing that they might be a hostile, he stopped cold in his tracks. He knew he could barely take one on alone, he wasn't much of a fighter, but two against one would get him killed. Dying is not on our To Do list, Lucian. the voice in his head told him. He decided that he would wait for them to notice him, and if they seemed to be hostile, he would take advantage of the distance between the duo and him and make a run for it. Now it's a waiting game between me, them, and the storm. he thought, this time it was himself.
