Mystery crept along through the trees of the Zaor Forest, nervously seeking an animal of any kind to hunt. She was excited, nervous, and scared all at the same time. She might make it. But what if she didn't? What if the Alpha left her to fend for herself again, after coming so close to getting a home and some sense of safety? She felt awkward with Kiddo having to watch her every move, every flick of her tail, every prick of her ears, as she hunted, or at least tried to hunt, to decide whether or not she'd be worthy to stay in the pack or become a huntress. Her unique green eyes scanned every inch of ground that she could see. She kept her ears pricked and alert at all times, straining to hear any rustle, and tried her hardest to make herself act and look decent at the very least after what she had done to anger the Alpha earlier. She did not want to have to go trough that humiliation again.
Mystery tried not to look awkward or nervous around her Alpha, seeing this hunt could mean everything to her fate in the pack. She truly wanted and needed to be in a pack if it meant her survival this winter. Prey was becoming more scarce, and every animal she caught meant one less animal that could be caught over the winter. What she said before had been cocky. Even if she tried her hardest, she'd probably only be able to catch a meager something occasionally. She constantly swept a sharp gaze around her, looking for any sight of prey. This hunt meant everything to her, and she wasn't about to mess it up just yet. She didn't need another wolf leaving her alone and helpless.
