[/i] The thought flooded his mind as the waves lapped at his large forepaws. If he had stayed longer maybe they would carry their own weight again, maybe it wasn't as bad as it seemed but for Mulligan it was. He was banished, never to return to his birthplace and displaced by his own parents for a reason he could not seem to uncover. Many nights were spent in deep thought. What had he done to deserve such a harsh punishment? It was unclear to him why his mother was not present at the ceremony in which her last litter of three sons were being banished. She had taken her leave the night before to a den on the east of the territory, a place that only she was permitted to access. The only conclusion he could come to was that she couldn't bare to say goodbye. So why was it that his father had announced the banishment as a mutual decision? It was all so confusing, his mind was being beat with a club, whirlwinds of memories flashed across the sky. His two brothers Falcon and Alazar wrestling in the fresh blanket of snow, himself hunting the wayward male Elk that fed him and his brothers for a week, maybe even more. The good memories were overpowered by something more severe, something catastrophic. Something more terrible than his banishment, something more terrible than the possible death of his brothers.
Saiya.
It was more than a name, more than a face, Saiya was his soulmate. The hand to his sword, the love of his life. Nothing could ever be the same without her. He had gone through so much trouble to find a female and when he had decided to give up her angelic figure had made its first appearance. The vision of her white frame across the sunlit horizon was something he could never forget. For months they spent every second together, traveling the land in search of a territory in which they could start a family together, forget their paths and move on, but it was no use. He had to have been cursed, everything he had every loved was stolen from him. Saiya was the last thing he would lose, never again would he love anything or anyone else. The scars were fresh in his mind, a wound reopened every time he saw the magnificant gleam of the oceans dark waters. He had traveled too far into anothers territory, the scent of blood and war was evident and Saiya had followed him loyally though she must have known what awaited the pair. It only took a few hours for the alphas and their elite fighters, it took mere seconds for Mulligan to realize their fate. He bid Saiya to flee to the sea and he did the same keeping Saiya in his sights and making sure she was safe, but the harder he tried, the worse the situation became. Before he knew it his beloved was overcome by one of the elites and blood wavered around his tired body, her white figure sunk below him, her eyes asked why. Why had he done this to the one he loved the most? In a fit of rage he recalled every fatal blow he unleashed upon his mates killer.
As Mulligan brought himself back to reality his senses kicked into over drive. Someone was watching him. He swung his ebony frame around to face the direction the scent was coming from. It was a femme. He chuckled hoarsley as he stood, legs stiffened and ears erect. "No use hiding. Why don't you be polite and come out from the shadows?" He snarled as his jaws clamped together, his amber eyes swelled with the pain of his memories as he gathered him self for the first confrontation with a female he had had in a long time.
