Akkira wandered around feeling the cool night air on her face, this wasn't the only time she had been alone in her life. It seemed it had been that way since she was just a pup. She was thirsty and was searching for somwhere to rest for the night. After walking for about an hour she came across a River, she was relieved to finally see something moving and fresh. Akkira ran up to the river and started lapping up some water from a small area that didn't seem to be moving as fast as most of the river.
She was tired now, and needed to find somewhere to sleep. But she did not know of any caves or shelter around this area so she decided to lay under a large tree. What was it about the night that Akkira loved so much? was it the fresh air? or was it just the feeling of sleep taking over her body. No, it didn't matter. All that mattered now was getting some sleep and finding something to eat it the morning.
Mystery just happened to be out and about, away from her pack for awhile, and she decided that she'd spend the night at the Nytyte River. She had, obviously, told Kiddo that she was going to be out. He wasn't too happy about it, but he accepted it, and she left as soon as she could. She inhaled the fresh open air. She lapped up some of the fresh, cold river water. After a while, she decided to hit the hay and climbed up into a tree. Her small figure and muscular build allowed her to slip into places larger wolves like her Alpha couldn't. Being only two and a half feet tall and a meager sixty pounds also meant that she could hide in small places. For example, the very tree that she was resting in.
After a while of resting her eyes and dozing on and off, another wolf approached the river. Mystery instantly tensed and kept her ears pricked and alert and let her eyed dart about. She sniffed the air. Something in the wolf's scent seemed like she had been to Airila pack recently. She hoped her own smell of Amar Pack didn't catch her off-guard.
Mystery's heart began to race as the wolf rested down underneath the tree that she herself was resting in. She began to breathe faster. Was this wolf going to hurt her? What was she going to do to her? She slowly got up and climbed to a higher branch. She was causing faint rustling noises, but she hoped the wolf thought it was a bird or something. She took deep breaths, trying to let her heart rate go back down to normal.
Akkira awoke to a faint rustling sound in the branches above her head, she slowly lifted her head to sniff the cold air. She had the feeling that another wolf was nearby and she didn't want to jump to any conclusions. She let out a low growl just to make sure whatever it was didn't come near her, she didn't need to get in any fights, not tonight. She got up and fliked her tail slightly. Who was this creature that woke her? Akkira was slightly irritated that anyone would want to wake a wolf from their beauty sleep, let alone Akkira. She felt a small bramble land on the tip of her head. "huh?" She jerked away suddenly.
"Who's their" She barked, She could feel the scent of another wolf and and it wasn't from her pack, no, it was from somewhere far from here, Why would they be out here? she wondered. She heard another rustle and looked up to see a smaller wolf sitting on a higher branch of the tree. She growled "Who are you? and what do you want?".
Mystery's eyes widened in fear as the wolf noticed her. She was in big trouble. Big, big trouble. That wolf had been to Airila, whom didn't have much in the way of a relationship or a truce with Amar. This is not good. She thought frantically. Not good at all. She shuddered as she made and then broke eye contact with the growling wolf. A sign of surrender. A sign that she knew the wolf was stronger than her. What was she going to do? It was a bit late for running, and she was too scared out of her wits to fight back. This was bad.
''I- I'm Mystery.'' Mystery managed to stammer. ''I- I'm n- not going to h- hurt you.'' That didn't sound very brave. Pull yourself together, Mystery. She commanded herself. It took a moment, but she ended up pretending the wolf was a peer. She actually was. She wasn't too bad talking around peers. She took a deep breath, and managed to get the next words out without a stammer. ''I'm from Amar pack.'' She said nervously. ''I came here even though my Alpha didn't really approve of it. I had already made him mad today when I asked to join, and I needed some time away from the stress.''
She gave a sigh. Had she aid anything wrong? She hoped not. She hoped that the wolf would forgive her. Maybe she was actually a loner that had gone through Airila territory. If that was the case- she was actually superior to the wolf. ''You smell like you've been to Airila lately. I'd like to ask you the same thing.'' She said bravely. ''I've told you my reason for being here. State your story.''
Akkira could hear the fear in Mystery's voice, and she knew that she was no longer a threat. she was high in the tree, and Akkira could not climb that high let alone climb. As Mystery finished her story Akkira told hers. "I have been to Airila territory but i am not a member of their pack.yet." she said strongly, "The alpha hasn't replied so i decided i would come out here. And i know that you are afraid but their is no need to be". Now Mystery seemed to be calm and Akkira felt more secure about the conversation.
"Would you like to come down from that tree?" She asked steadily, "i am not going to hurt you" Akkira didn't know if the young wolf tusted her but she didn't care, "I promise".
Mystery gave a faint sigh of relief as the wolf said what she did. Only a loner for now. Not going to hurt her. She had her slight doubts about the latter, but began to trust her anyways. Not to get down. She was a strong climber, but coming back down wasn't her strongsuit. She let her paws hang down off the branch as she looked down. It was maybe a fifteen foot or so drop. Not big. But not too close to the ground though. She didn't care at all at the moment. She took a deep breath, and leaped down to the ground from the very branch she was on.
She landed with a thump, but remained on all four paws. A piercing pain sprang from her pads all the way up her legs. Ouch. A pulsating pain set in. Okay, jumping out of the tree wasn't the brightest idea. She had done worse. She shook out her fur, then turned back to the other wolf. ''So, I never got your name.'' She said. ''What is it, may i ask?'' She asked politely. She wasn't going to anger this wolf, even though she had promised not to hurt her. Maybe this wasn't a bad idea after all. A few problems had been solved. One: the wolf wasn't angry at her. Two: She wasn't scared of the wolf. And three: she had gotten out of the tree. This wasn't turning out half bad.
Akkira could see that Mystery had calmed down as she leaped from the tree, it almost looked like she was in pain when she hit the ground. But Akkira didn't want to worry about it though, she wasn't hurt. She looked at Mystery as she spoke "My name is Akkira, I see that you are a good climber, yes". Akkira had never been a very good climber when she was a pup, even now. She probobly couldn't even climb a rock. She wanted to ask if Mystery was hurt but thought it would be odd to ask an almost-stranger if they were ok.
"I hope you do not think of me as a threat, I truly pose no harm to you or your pack". She said quietly, she didn't want ay other creatures hearing their conversation. Akkira didn't feel like fighting anything tonight.
