Told you I wanted more,
It's not what I had in mind.
Sander or rather Elle now, watched from her position above the high cliff. It was a rather high, giving her a large view of the frosty ocean though nothing beyond that. A heavy fog was blocking anymore sight-seeing. Nevertheless, Elle liked the view enough to stay there for a few minutes. Her travels had taken her too many places, but they didn’t get much more beautiful than her current intake. The salty water below looked chilling and murderous. Lurking black depths of endless water seemed no place for a home to Sander. In fact, it made her stomach burn with a growl. What had upset her by the sight, she wasn’t really sure, but the ocean would become no favorite thing for her. It was a disgusting creature that constantly had tried to drown a swimming Sander. A small sigh escaped that ivory maw before she turned her stare up and began moving up the hillside to reach more solid ground where she could explore elsewhere. The hillside or cliff had a pathway built right into the side. Sander found this unnatural and alarming, but didn’t bother to think too hard on it. She only cared to distance herself more from the depths of water.
Finding more suitable ground to explore, Sander let her acidic yellow orbs to view the small land around her. It was nothing short of beautiful, though not nearly as the scene to her slender back. For a full minute, time elapsed by as Sander decided which direction she should take. The breeze, windy and grasping, chilled her to the bone as she remained unmoving. Shortly it was decided. She would slip into the small forest and hunt for a snack or maybe just find a warm den to stay for the night. Sander would’ve moved into one on the cliff, but after spending so much time in the water to get here, it wasn’t her first choice. On nimble pillars, her body was urged forward into the towering trees. There were many pines surrounding her, giving off a sweet scent, but also doing their job of keeping the wind to a minimum. It was nice to not have a constant howling in her sensitive ears. Navigating through the woods, Sander looked like a white phantom on the move. A light dusting of snow had fallen to the ground, covering the brown in a veil of white, making her blend near perfectly. Sander movements were like that of a dancer, calculating and soundless. Grace worked its way throughout her entire body, starting at one point and then ending at another. She looked like that of an innocent ballerina.
However, Sander had caught the strong smell of a rabbit. A nice tender rabbit that she couldn’t possibly let continue to live another day. A dangerous gleam took to the corner of her orb and she changed direction with hesitation. Movement’s slick, her small black nose began searching the ground just barely. Its den couldn’t be too far, maybe there would be a few young in there that would be even tenderer with unused muscle and easy baby fat. Oh, her stomach would already taste the meat slithering down her throat to acidic depths. Getting closer now, Sander paused in this mastery game and readied herself. The den was in more of a clear view and the rabbit wouldn’t be escaping her. With a surge of power in her hind legs, Sander through herself into the den and snapped those jowls shut around whatever was in there. A rabbit, its small brown eyes filled with terror, let out a scream. The sound was ended quickly, however. Sander bit the neck before pulling it out. No babies, but the adult would have to do for now. It was, after all, the middle of winter and food wasn’t normally to be had this easy. Not waiting, Sander slid to the ground on her stomach and began to chew away tuffs of fur in large chucks. The snow began to melt underneath her from the strong warmth of her body, wetting the ghostly fur to change it to a grey color. This went unnoticed by the eating lupine as she made out quickly with her prize.
