-Kiaru-
Deep brown orbs cautiously scanned the surrounding area, the bright white of her coat doing little to hide the arctic femme in the snow-lacking south of Anikira. The thick fog and light drizzling rain on the other hand did wonders for the nervous she-wolf. Whether it was false or not, the slight cover lent by the fog and rain left Kiaru with some sense of security. Rising from the ground, she began to pad quietly forward. For any other wolf, simply getting a drink of water from the quiet Turxos Creek would be nothing. It was just water, just a drink, right? Unfortunately, when you cross a frozen ocean and experience several deaths during the ordeal before you're even six months old, it's not just water. Forcing back a whimper, Kiaru approached the quiet water carefully and quietly, looking around all the while to ensure she was alone. So far, so good.
Kiaru had managed to avoid meeting other wolves for several weeks at this point, sticking to the shadows and generally behaving as a ghost might. Dipping her maw to the cool, clear water, Kiaru took a moment to check out for a bit, to forget life and focus on quenching her thirst. You're all alone.... no one is here to bother you. You're not going to hurt anyone, and no one is going to hurt you. No one wants to come out in this rain anyway. Surprisingly, Kiaru's attempts to calm herself were working this time, a little better than usual, anyway. It probably helped that she'd been to this creek and repeated this behavior for several days now, maybe even a couple of weeks. Ritual was everything to the white wolf, and anything that threw that off generally threw her into a bit of a tizzy.
Thirst finally taken care of, Kiaru backpedaled away from the creek a little quicker than was really necessary, and began to walk down the bank. Confident in her solitude, Kiaru began to relax and enjoy the drizzly day. It wasn't terribly cold and the fog laid over everything like a blanket, keeping things quiet. She liked it that way and wasn't in any rush to leave the area any time soon. Perhaps I ought to bed down here... I don't think anyone would mind. This caused her to chuckle. Who am I kidding? There's nobody else here. There hasn't been for a long time I think... Truly, this area was perfect for Kiaru. There were no major packs in the area, not that she had picked up on anyway, and there were very few, if any, loners in the area. Sweet solitude.... This is more than perfect. If I'm not mistaken, there are some caverns nearby....perhaps I'll steal one for my own. Entangled deep within her thoughts, Kiaru didn't notice another presence lingering nearby...
