It was finally time to come out of hiding. It had been a year now, and a year was long enough. The relatively large Tundra wolf slowly made his way out of the Niall Caverns. Upon exiting the caverns, he was greeted with heavy snow. Not realizing how deep the snow was, he stumbled and fell flat into the snow. Letting out a low growl, he got back on all fours and shook his ebony hued coat to free it from the snow that drenched it. Severus was just out the previous day and there was barely any snow on the ground, but now it was the only thing he could see. Once he was sure his coat was snow free, he continued his quest to get back into the real world. For the past year, he had only left the cave to go hunting and as soon as he killed his prey, he would bring it straight back to the cave. The only contact he had with others was when they would stumble on into the cave. Those who tried to make small talk with him would only get a low growl in response. He wasn’t ready back then to return to the world for the gruesome events that had taken place had changed him forever. He was filled with nothing but anger, and couldn’t help but to constantly lash out on those who came near him. Through the course of his isolation, he had taught himself how to control his undying anger. He had just recently got to the point where he thought he could handle the world now, which led him to where he was now, heading to wherever he would end up.
Severus spent the first week of going back into the world by leaving his home land of Caurus. Upon leaving the Niall Caverns, the brute headed southwest. By going in this direction, he ended up in Xayar Forest in the lands known as Shyia. The weather was somewhat different than it was in Caurus. Instead of the ground being blanketed in snow, it was just frosted over. Now Severus had to be careful to not slip and fall. However, he had to quicken his pace when he found out that he was in pack territory. He knew it would be best for him and the pack if he just hurried out. He did have a lid on his anger, but if provoked unexpectedly, he would lose control, and that wouldn’t be a good way to start his new beginning.
When he reached the end of the Xayar Forest, he was greeted by the Tia-deli Mountains. Its peaks extended into the clouds. Brown orbs began to search for a low spot that he could easily reach. He hadn’t traveled this long since he was younger, and he was growing very tired and hungry. He was going on little sleep, and very little food. He didn’t dare hunt too much here since these were a pack’s lands, so he got a couple little rabbits when he could. He also slept very little in fear of getting caught. He was a new to these lands he was in, so he was still learning what packs owned what lands. His attention went back to the mountains. His brown orbs then spotted a low spot, but right when he went to start his climb up, his body screamed at him to do otherwise. So he gave into his needs, and found a tree to sleep under for the night.
By the time he had climbed and descended the Tia-deli Mountains, another week had passed, which now put him in the Lleingas Woods of Acerbus. A thick fog mixed with ash greeted Severus as he stepped foot into the forest. It had an eerie feel to it, and the fog added to it. Everything in the forest was decaying from the trees, to whatever animal life had resided in it. Just by the looks of this place, Severus knew that it would be of no use to him, so he tried to make his trip through here short. Plus the place gave him the creeps and increased his paranoia.
Thankfully after two days of trekking through the graveyard of a forest, Severus had finally made his way to the other end. At first all he could see was the same thick fog mixed with ash. As he got closer, he was surprised when his paws were greeted with sand and his orbs were greeted with the view of a massive volcanic structure. Severus had never seen anything like it, and couldn’t help put to continue to stare at it. He approached it slowly, as to be careful, but his effort failed when he tripped over a small boulder, injuring his front right leg.“Damn it,” he growled when he tried to get up, but couldn’t.
