History: Valeria was one of a litter of four pups born to the Alpha of Descai and the pack's shaman, Sarin. She was the second litter born to the alpha from two separate females in the same season. Even from birth, Valeria was of a much greater size than any of her siblings, yet she found herself relating to her sisters much more than any of her brothers, particularly the older ones. While she knew that there was no real romance between her mother and father, Valeria was keenly aware that her mother desired her father's attention a lot more than what was normal. Valeria found herself angered by the fact that her mother allowed herself to be controlled by her father, and while she loved her father, she was a bit of a rambunctious and a rebellious one because she refused to conform to the typical social norms. She did not want to be a princess; she wanted to be a rough, tough fighter like her brothers. She was particularly fond of Ryker because he was stronger than her immediate litter and her slightly older siblings.
Yet as time went on, Valeria grew to resent most of her siblings. It seemed like her father truly had favorites. Zirena was the favorite daughter, and Ryker was the favorite son. It was unnerving to see such blatant favoritism, and so Valeria strove to set herself apart from the others. She was larger, stronger, and smarter. She used her wits to manipulate others into performing well, and yet it still seemed that she could not gather her father's attention. It was then that she finally realized that she would never truly be the best in her father's eyes. She was the daughter of the Shaman, merely a genetic product of her father. While she still cared for him, she did not revere him with the awe that her sister Zirena did. She had her sister, Zofia, and that was all she truly needed. As the months passed, the dynamic within the pack shifted. There were changes in her father, and he grew weaker and weaker in his leadership of the pack. Then, the unthinkable happened.
Someone crossed into the borders of Descai's territory, murdering their beta. As the pack mourned the death of Shayde, Valeria could see the waning nature in her father's eyes. It was the final straw; he was no longer fit to be leader. And so it seemed that he, too acknowledged this fact. To Valeria's dismay and outrage, Vorilye passed Descai on to her elder brother Ryker. While she had once revered her older brother, time had shown her that he made more foolish decisions than he cared to admit. He allowed his emotions to get involved in matters that should have been left to reason. He was not fit to lead the pack, and Valeria was horrified that her father saw him as the rightful heir to Descai. It was the final straw. She was tired of the arbitrary decisions the males in her life continued to make.
And so with her sister, Zofia, at her side, Valeria set off to form a pack of her own. She would create a safe haven for females, where no one was thought of as unequal due to being a member of the "lesser" gender. She was hell bent on showing her father and brother that she was the true leader of the family. She would show them all.
Personality: There is nothing normal about Valeria. She is very tom-boyish and believes that she can do anything a male can, particularly because she outsizes the majority of them. She is dominant, abrasive, and seeks the strength in other females in an attempt to make them realize their true potential. Even at a young age, she believes females to be ultimately superior and wants to make sure that they are not underestimated. She dislikes any and all enemies of her pack and is fiercely loyal to her family. She is aggressive and confrontational with anyone she believes does not meet her standards.
Valeria does want to be desired by others, but not in the same way. She does not want to be a pretty little female that stands by the side of her mate silently. Instead, she wants the exact opposite. She naturally gravitates toward shyer individuals and finds quiet to be much more appealing than a boisterous nature. She is not judgmental of her sisters, but she certainly passes judgment on those to which she has no ties. She finds solace in her quiet time and does whatever she can to ensure that this time is respected. She is highly adventurous and curious about the world around her. She respects nature and does not believe it to merely be a tool for her own use. Instead, she values the environment and is grateful for all that she is given.
