Text. Speech. Thought. Others.
A cold dawn emerged over the horizon. The morning was cold yet cozy, inviting anyone to keep dreaming until noon. The leaves and grass were covered with tiny, crystalline droplets which made the scene even more beautiful. The birds were chirping yet it was quiet, as if the birds were the only ones awake. The sky was a faded purple, then turned to orange and red with a pinch of yellow, creating a spectacular entrance for the sun, which ascended slowly into the heavens. Yet, even if nature was already waking up, two wolves were curled up in a den; a white one and a brown one, creating some sort of ying-yang with their colors... perfectly balanced.
The brown wolf moved a little, often cuddling a little closer to the silver one. She smiled contentedly, and sighed often. Even if she was sound asleep, she was still smiling. Inaya, the brown wolfess, usually had nightmares when she slept. They involved her brother heavily, and these nightmares traumatized her even more, because she couldn't sleep. She had forgotten how much she needed to sleep--sometimes she went days or weeks without a peaceful night slumber--and she had also forgotten how refreshing it was to sleep a complete night without intrusion of her brother. Kismet, the white wolf, proved to be a huge source of comfort, making her feel loved and protected for once in her life. Inaya's eyes were semi-opened, and her mind was somewhat conscious, yet she stood there, all curled up against Kismet, not wanting this moment to end.
In the previous day, Kismet had hunted for her, but that food went by quickly. Inaya began to feel hungry, but it was not too bad; she was used to the feeling, so she ignored it for a moment. Yet, her hunger betrayed her and her stomach grumbled very loudly, which made her lift her head slowly and widen her eyes. "Oh!" She giggled a little and then an expression of sadness took her face gradually. How long had it been since she had eaten a full meal? She had grown accustomed to eating rabbits, squirrels and other small animals for survival, but she needed a full meal to feel better. She looked at Kismet and blushed due to her previous stomach sound, yet she hoped that he had heard it--oh boy, was she starved!
