History: Aaricia was born into the small pack of Ferus. Well, it wasn't terribly small. Ferus had seven members not including herself and her three brothers. Growing up, Aaricia always felt...different from her other siblings. She felt as if she couldn't really relate to them very well. She felt as if she was the odd one out. She was never one that wanted to play rough and roll around on the ground. She enjoyed games and playing like any other pup would but physical games didn't appeal to her like she felt they did for her brothers. Also, being the only female out of the litter helped in her feeling as if she didn't belong. However, she did feel loved by her parents and she loved them. She often found herself being with them more than her siblings which would explain her more mature nature. She adopted to pack as part of her family as well. She didn't think of them as other pack members, she thought of them as her brothers and sisters. Her father was protective over the litter and still is. She felt that he was more protective over her which made her feel special. She needed to know that she was important too even though she was a girl and different from her siblings. However, he did allow her to do her own thing for the most part which she appreciated. She was a pretty obedient puppy but she also didn't like being controlled or having someone breathe down her neck. She needed the balance between love and affection and being allowed to be her own individual. Her father allowed her to do that.
When Aaricia turned four months old, tragedy struck the family. A traveling pack called Osani attacked Ferus. All the chaos and panic gave Aaricia enough time to run. She didn't know much at that young and fragile age but she knew enough to know that if she had stayed, she would have died. There are parts of her that wishes she would have stayed and died with her family instead of being completely on her own. The loneliness still affects her though she has gotten somewhat used to it.
For a short time after Aaricia ran away from the battle ground, she thought that maybe some of her family had survived. Maybe someone would come looking for her. No one had ever found her. She had never seen a member of her family after that day.
The former princess had never been taught how to hunt so for a while all she could do was scavenge. It disgusted her to eat the scraps of what others had left behind but she didn't have a choice. Scavenging left her very skinny. Her hip bones shown through her fur and her ribs were easily felt by anyone who touched her. She knew she was dying and needed to start eating real food. She had tried hunting but was a complete bust and a total waste of precious energy. She could not afford to try again. She had come to grips with the fact that she was going to die. It was only right, after all. All of her family had died (she assumed) so she should die too. She would get to be with them soon.
She rested beneath the shade of a tree and closed her eyes. A small tear escaped her ducts as she knew this would be the last sight she saw. The last smells she smelled. The last sounds she heard. She closed her eyes and waited for the inevitable.
She felt a cold nose in her side. Someone was trying to wake her. She blinked her eyes open and saw a wolf older than herself but hardly considered "old." She sat up the best that she could and she explained her situation and why she was under the tree. He was horrified and immediately got her a meal to eat. She ate it quickly. He and his mate taught her how to hunt. It had taken her a while to get the hang of it but eventually, she could catch enough food on a regular basis to keep herself alive. She thanked them for their incredibly kindness and left.
Ever since, she's been traveling Anikira, following the food. She went to whatever loner lands were having the best hunting seasons. She feared joining another pack because she couldn't bare to loose anyone else. She remained solitary even though that pain was almost as bad as loosing a loved one. She didn't have anyone to talk to or to keep her warm at night. She had to do it all on her own. Her life turned out drastically different than what anyone thought it would be. Her family's death could have been a blessing in disguise. She learned things about herself that she never knew were there. She's experienced independence like she never had before. She's learned to rely on herself.
Personality:
Proud- Aaricia has a very distinct line between pride and cockiness or conceitedness. She doesn't strut around and flaunt or brag about whatever she's done. She does however take care of her appearance. She's not a wolf that will walk around with blood on her muzzle after eating. She's the kind to wash her paws after walking through the mud. She doesn't do this because she's overly "girly" she does it because she cares about what she looks like. She has a quiet confidence about her from the way that she walks and carries herself.
Distinguished- Aaricia is obsessed with excellence. Because of this, she is successful in most of what she does. Of course she's not perfect but, she tries to be. She's authoritative. She knows how to take charge and isn't afraid to do it. She commands respect from others and then will give them the same respect in return. However, she won't show that respect if they don't do the same first. She isn't rude or mean though.
Noble- Aaricia will tell the truth, no matter the consequences. She speaks her mind and has the courage to speak the truth, even when it's not in her best interest. She'll help others, even when it's inconvenient for her. She is a giver more than a taker. She's willing to set aside her own desires to make the life of another better. Because of this, she can be easily taken advantage of. She treats everyone with the same respect, no matter their rank but she does require respect in return. She won't allow herself to be walked all over and treated poorly.
Princess- She's gracious, polite and patient. She always wants to hear what everyone she meets has to say. Her manners and sense of refinement is what separates her from some others. She is elegant and she shows it in the way she carries herself. Pride and elegance is a hard balancing act but, Aaricia seems to pull it off without trying. She is well groomed, as stated before. Daily hygiene is a must for the young princess. She always acts like a lady. She's not the type to roll in the mud or eat bugs. She's not a wrestler and doesn't play rough with her brothers. She sits up straight and she walks tall. She respects herself. She is confident in herself. She doesn't need others to tell her that she's beautiful as smart, although compliments are always welcome. She tries to be gracious and be thankful for what she has. However, sometimes she gets wrapped up in her own problems and forgets what she has. She is a carefree spirit at heart but she's also considerate of others and sometimes responsibility can weigh her carefree nature down. She is thoughtful of her parents, after all they are the king and queen. She is the "obedient" child. She's not one to break rules and she listens to her parents. She is loyal to her friends. Everyone is valued and cherished by her. However, she is very calm, cool and collected which can sometimes make her seem distant. She refrains from yelling in her adult life. However as a pup, yelling has escaped her lips on a few occasions. She's not shy however sometimes she can come across as diplomatic.
Happy- Despite stress, Aaricia is happy with her life and her family. She doesn't wish for more than she has. This is the only life that she's known and she doesn't long for anything different. She's content with her life.
Versatile- She is very flexible with her time. She's willing to change plans to make others happy. She's also able to do many different things. She learns by watching and imitating others. She can be a leader one moment and a caring friend the next. She can put on many different faces, depending on which one a wolf needs.
Responsible- She takes responsibility seriously. She can't stand those who goof off or don't care. She cares, a lot. If someone asks her to do something, she'll do it if it kills her.
Clever/Quick Minded- She's smart and can be pretty funny if she's in the right mood. She's creative with her cleverness. She can figure out solutions to problems that others may have never thought of.
Hard Working- She enjoys the work that she does, most of the time. She likes having something to do. She does get overwhelmed sometimes as she tends to take on too much for her to handle, however she'd never admit to it because of her pride. She takes the pressure off of others and puts it on her own shoulders which isn't always the best thing for her personally.
Desire to be around others- She gets lonely if she's by herself for too long. She likes to be around her pack and her parents and her siblings. They make her happy, even if sometimes they drive her insane. She feels comfortable with other wolves and feels out of place without them.
Love of home and family- She'd do anything for her family and for her pack. She'd go to the ends of the earth for them to be happy. Her passion lays within the land of the pack and she doesn't have a desire to leave and "make her own" she's happy to "make her own" with her family and her home.
Generous- If it couldn't have been figured out previously, Aaricia is very generous. She'd give the fur off of her own back if she needed to. She gives and doesn't expect much in return. Only respect.
Independent- Even though she desires the company of others, she isn't afraid to be on her own. She's lived on her own since she was 4 months old and knows how to care of herself.
