I joined to adopt a character and I didn't get her. It just kind of put a damper on my zeal because I really wanted her but she was given to someone else. Long story.
That happens sometimes but it's not a reason to quit, just try and look past it and plus you got Thor. I am sure there will also be other character tryouts and many puppies once breeding season comes around and you won't want to miss that!

Aww Nadi :c I'm sorry you didn't get the wolf you wanted. But as previously stated, there will be more opportunities. Just try to hold on to us. I know you haven't been here long so not many people know you yet, but I'm sure we would all love to see you hang around and post and talk with us. It would be such a shame to see a sweetheart like you leave us so soon after coming to our lovely island.
If there is anything else weighing on your mind that went with this decision, you are always welcome to message me to rant. I will always listen and do what I can to help. <3
It's wonderful to hear that you've decided to stay Nadi. (:
Although I do wish you'd spoken to me in particular about Thor - leaving a site for good is a big step, and not one that should be done hastily (you said yourself you put a lot of thought into it). You've only had Thor for a short time, but your interest in him can only be limited if you were prepared to drop him only 2-3 days ago. What has changed?
I put a lot of effort into designing all of the adoptables, and I made the free graphics as the 'incentive', if you will, to keep them active and stay dedicated to them - I took your farewell thread as a sign that you did not want him, hence I put him back into the Kairos Adoptables and have already received another application for him. This was before you posted that you wouldn't be leaving after all.
Again, I'm thrilled that you're staying - you're a valued and cherished member and it genuinely saddened me at the thought of you going, but in the best interest of the character I need to give him to someone who can make that commitment to keeping him active and staying dedicated to him for the long haul.
If you would like to PM me to discuss this further, please feel free to do so. If you desperately want him then I will listen openly to what you have to say, but if you're indifferent towards him as your farewell suggested to me, then keeping him to replace the character you didn't get would just put a constant damper on your role playing drive.
I'm not sure if that is rhetorical, or you genuinely aren't sure. >.<
When you posted that you were leaving Anikira, you gave up your rights to Thor. His character design, including his graphics, were not yours to begin with - so when someone adopts one of my pre-made characters I do have the right to return that character to adoption if you give that character up by quitting the site. As I wasn't to know that you would return at all, I wasn't left with a choice, and if you had spoken to me about leaving prior to making a public thread about it, I would have told you this. You said yourself that you put a lot of thought into leaving, so I assumed that you had thought it through. As it states in the adoption thread, I'll only hand an adoptable over to someone if I think you can do them justice - whilst I had faith in your initial application, I no longer believe you can stay committed to him due to you saying that you were leaving the site (whether or not you meant it).
I'm not trying to be harsh or mean to you - but I put a lot of effort into him and I can't be sure you won't threaten to leave again. This isn't personal.
I have heard people say that they have thought about quitting as well.
I was frustrated about what happened with Nova.
I didn't know what to do. I asked someone and they told me to put up a post.
So yeah. I don't appreciate my words being shoved down my throat twice. And since you seem to be aware of how things work maybe it would have been nice to get a pm from you as well.
At any rate I'm not going to argue over it.
I am now officially quitting. Please delete my bio for Nadi, because that is mine. And also my bio for Thor, since that is my writing and not yours. What belongs to you was the basic idea of Thor and the graphics.
Thanks, No hard feelings. I'm just not happy here, now more then ever.
I sincerely thank those that I rped with and those that tried to help me through this. I will not forget you for your kindness.
