The air was chilly, and the darkness was lonely. Snow fell thickly all around him. A small, white ghost stood stone still. Light grey ran through his coat, but it was so light that only the shade could distinguish it from the white. From far away, his eyes were only a misty grey, and through the thick snow, you couldn't detect even a hint of the mystical blue that was swirled into that beautiful grey. The only plain detail that made it perfectly clear that he wasn't actually a ghost was his tail: it slowly faded to a black tip. From appearance only, you might think that he was a fallen angel and that his tail was the only proof of his tainted heart, to distinguish him from common wolves. Who else could stand so still, in the moonlight, for so long? For he focused on nothing. His focus was inward. A painful shriek kept echoing through his mind, followed by a completely unrecognizable, and yet so familiar, face.
Time could have stood still. There was no telling how long he stood there like that, but finally, his mind became empty. His head drooped in despair, his ears flattening to his snowy skull as the tears welled up and found their way to the snow below. He uttered no sound, only cried silently until the pain subsided slightly. He couldn't forget his mission. He was determined to find his aunt, Sydas, and her mate, Fury. He hadn't been in contact with any wolf since his family's death, and so was completely unaware of their disappearance. But finally, finally he had found his way to the border of Ultoris. He had determined to join the pack; Sydas would look after him, and maybe he could get to know Fury even better. At the very least, he could have a soul to share his burden with, and something to distract his mind. He knew that you had to have a special skill to become a member, and so he had not eaten in two days, and trained harder than ever in preparation. He always hunted better when he was hungry, as backwards as that was.
Slowly, he picked up his head, and walked to the edge of the border. He was unafraid of being so close. Hell, he wouldn't have been afraid to be inside the border. But if a pack member who did not know him approached, things might not go so smoothly. As soon as he reached the line, he inhaled the strong scent. It was one that he did not at all recognize. It confused him, but, regardless, without much delay he tipped his head back and howled out to the alpha. Or any passing pack member. He was here to join the pack.
There was no turning back now.

OOC I know you're busy, so just post whenever you can c: I figured he would ask Severus about Sydas and Fury, and Sev would tell him that they just disappeared one day and then Kaze would be like "wait, my aunt talked about you before" cause Sydas and Severus were friends, right? anyway, then they could do the hunting. If that's okay with you (:
