Typhon's wet paws hit sand much sooner than the first time he had swum to Vor'asa; that had been months ago, though it seemed much longer. The island had changed, as seasons had shifted and the cold chill of winter had replaced the brisk autumn, and the gargantuan male shivered and shook the water quickly from his pelt, relying on the dying sunlight to dry his fur. He did not have time to waste licking it, nor did he want the horrendous taste of saltwater coating his tongue. Once free of the sand and standing before the cliff, he spent a few seconds scraping grains of sand from between his toes, as it would irritate him to no end and he wanted to focus on his climb.
Before long, the reddish-brown brute had made it to the top, surveying the shore behind him briefly before setting his sights on a new target--the far side of the island, separated from Kairos territory only for as long as it took him to get there. His plan was to hover at the border between the two lands, then invade Valyn's lands and claim them in the name of Goliath just as the sun came up to the east. He would have help, of course; Lilith was on her way, eager as her brother to instill fear in the hearts of the odd females who inhabited the other side of the small island, and Sabaoth had promised to aid him as well, though he was unsure when his formidable uncle would show his scarred face. Between the three of them, Typhon knew that victory would only be a matter of time.
It would be incredibly easy to frighten them, as he had heard that, though somewhat strong in numbers, they were small wolves who would not likely be able to defend themselves from even a trio of oversized beasts. It certainly helped that, in addition to himself, Lilith would be joining in the conquest; he had mentioned it to her expecting a scoff, but instead was met with excitement and eagerness. Their time spent bonding in their youth had made the two a formidable duo, and Typhon was half expecting a quiet takeover instead of a violent one.
Should it turn violent, I'm sure the two of you will do fine, purred a voice only the male could hear, causing him to grin wickedly as he headed straight through Vor'asa towards Kal'dyne. You and Lilith are the toughest of Goliath's offspring by far, and the most ambitious. He will be very proud. His dearest sister would be meeting him a little later, but as she had initially beaten him to the Agoge, Typhon was determined to be the first Kairos wolf to invade Valyn territory. And so he was, as he placed all four of his immense feet at the edge of the Waryck Jungle and peered into the sparse trees, unable to see very far as the forest thickened. The soft sounds of creatures hidden--whooping monkeys, screeching birds--reached his upright ears, but he dismissed them as unimportant; he would not venture any further without his sibling.
