A dark cliff stood proudly as it rose above the battered island of Ina'smos, even as a higher than average wind buffeted the rock face. The rocks that formed the surface of Ina'smos Island were not of the typical kind present on most of Anikira to the east and Tas'alea to the south, most of the rocks here were a dark grey or charred black in colour, despite being geologically young. A harsh reminder of the island's volcanic origins, shown clearly in this morning on Ina'smos.
Despite appearances, life still existed here, lichens and mosses formed on some of rocks present and clung onto the cliff dearly, a thin, poor soil had formed in a few small portions from the presence of the plant life. Even the cliff produced the very thing that much life around the area depended on, water.
A waterfall barely twenty metres high flowed down the cliff towards a small pool, representing the only source of fresh water at the islands surface. Slightly larger plants had grown at the very edge of the pool, taking advantage of the conditions.
A wolf approached the Liandry Falls, the male's brown-grey fur ruffled in the wind as he walked, his brown eyes scanning the surrounding area as he approached. The wolf pauses at the pools edge, and gratefully drinks from the pool.
"Well... Fate does have a sense of humour..."
Audas snorted and let out a quiet laugh at the thought, raising his mouth from the pool as he did so. It was quite clear, days ago, Audas had been washed ashore in Caurus on Anikira, and had drunk from the river there. Now he was drinking from a pool after swimming across to the island deliberately.
The grey wolf clambered onto one of the larger rocks, even though it wasn't a tall one in particular, and sat down on the rock, inspecting the waterfall carefully. For once, Audas seemed to be at some form of peace. That was, however, until he closed his eyes for a brief moment, a image of the pack that he called his family lay slaughtered on the ground. The male breathed out rapidly and snapped his eyes open again, glancing around him to see if anyone or anything had seen his reaction. Satisfied, he turned back towards the waterfall.
Shortly after Audas had arrived on Anikira, he had encountered two other wolves, despite his original hopes of staying low. The older male wolf with his unusually light coloured fur and blue eyes called Kismet, and the similarly aged arctic wolf with green eyes known as Nymph. After the conversation, Audas had found himself along with Nymph following Kismet on a tour of Anikira and Tas'alea. Ina'mos was their final stop on that impressive, yet uneventful tour.
Nymph and Kismet had swam across from Tas'alea with him, though Audas decided to scout ahead to the falls to see if it was clear, they would be here soon. The male closed his eyes again, with no flashback plaguing his mind.
Luckily for both Audas and his companions, his flashbacks and nightmares that affected him occasionally went through unnoticed, if either wolf noticed them, they did not show it or pursue clarification, Kismet may have had suspicions after seeing Audas reactions the night they first met, but he didn't pursue it. Either way, once the tour was complete shortly, they can go their separate ways.
Audas heard some movement, only just in the wind passing by, he opened his eyes and turned towards the sound, remaining where he sat. The sound came from his companions direction, though it could have been anyone. He mentally prepared himself for who ever came over the mound of lichen covered rocks.

Notes: Still new to this, but seems good for a starting post for the new thread (I think it could be better, but well...) ! Typically I want Kismet and Nymph present, though we did intend for some form of drama so this is technically open to a extent.
