Far away from the prying eyes of her father and brothers, Valeria finally felt at ease. The beautiful sands of the Occasus had soothed her mind, as she knew that she was now far enough away from Descai to be truly safe. They would never risk sending scouts out to Tas'alea. Many of the continental pack wolves were far too wary of the spawning ground of the massive, thought to be extinct breeds of the past. Valeria could not feel intimidated by them; she was on par with their size and strength. No one here could possibly be a big enough threat to her. Here is where she would establish her dominion. The natural off-putting aura about the island would keep those out who would be scared, thus protecting them from the faint of heart. It was from here that they could venture and take hold of the continent. One step at a time, they would grow and show the world just how strong females could be.
The first things first, though. As Valeria crossed into the lands of Kal'dyne, she halted to leave various scent markers. While they may not deter the way a male's mark might, it was sufficient enough to define the jungle region as claimed territory. And so Valeria threw back her great black and golden head, muzzle aimed at the sky as she let out a beautiful song. With her howl, she summoned all females who sought refuge and protection to come to her, and she would provide it. Together, they would become a family. They would be as one, and under her leadership, Valyn would thrive. They would be the greatest pack Anikira had ever known. She knew her sister would respond to the call, and most likely Athena would have followed close behind her. However, the wild card was whatever loners would manifest at her borders. The claim was laid; was there anyone who would dare to challenge the Great Alphess, Valeria?
The idea of waiting much longer for her sister to show was unnerving. Sure, it had been her idea to separate from Zofia, but what if her sister was pulled back by Descai? What if she changed her mind? Valeria knew that the pack could truly shine with her strength and Zofia's kind heart. It was the balance between the two sisters that created a truly harmonious place. They were yin and yang, black and white, sisters in every aspect. They fought, argued over stupid things, and disapproved of each other's choices. But when it came down to it, Zofia was the most trustworthy and loyal friend she could ever ask for. It was for that very reason that her sister was her second in command, a strong leader as well in this wonderful plan. If she would show, they could present a united front so as to discourage any funny business. The daughters of Vorilye were not to be messed with.
