There was something in the wind that made her body feel much hotter, making her uncomfortable. The humidity here was unbearable. Her surroundings were of a thick green that made it very hard to walk and see properly. The trees were above her and mosquitoes flew around the ivory female, and a few managed to bite her, making her stop in her tracks and scratch herself. Annoyed, she continued walking to find a perfect spot to make herself known. She was entering Waryck Jungle, in search of something. She knew that there was a pack around here, because the scents were strong, and the part that she liked the most is that she could not sense any males around. She was naturally drawn to the place when she realized that, and she had to know what it was about. 

She kept walking into the wild jungle that surrounded her, and began to listen to the sounds of the wild. Monkeys, birds and insects were all making music... but she was not enjoying it that much. However, she decided to ignore everything and focus on her primary goal. Filling in her lungs with the humid air that surrounded her, she let out the loudest howl she could ever make. "I am no threat. I want to join you." Catching her breath after making her howl, her sea foam and golden eyes scanned the area, looking around for any signs of life. Sitting down, she waited calmly to be found by this pack. She began to think about how she would present herself to the alphaess, but she decided to just be herself. Looking around, she began to observe her surroundings, still annoyed at the sounds of the monkeys that were apparently bored in the trees. She looked up to the trees and frowned a little bit, but she shook off the thoughts. Sighing, she hoped for the best.

Lumbering through the trees was quickly becoming one of Valeria's favorite things to do. The flora and fauna were so different in this part of the continent that it served as a constant reminder that she was no longer bound to Descai. Each day that passed, she grew more and more confident in her position. And so when a howl at her borders drew the alphess's attention, she trotted off with a smile fixated on her lips. True, the temperature in this area was not the most pleasant, but she found that the brush and tree cover provided much needed shelter from the sun, and the longer she stayed, the more natural it felt. The great mackenzie valley female was itching to discover and mark every nook and cranny of the lands. It was feeling more like home the longer she walked.

The alphess approached her newest charge with caution; there was no certainty that this wolf was friendly as indicated in her howl. So Valeria drew up to her full height, holding her tail high and proud as the hackles raised on the back of her neck. As she drew closer through the leaves, the smaller figure of another wolf, not too much unlike her girls Athena and Breeze, she knew that this wolf would pose no threat. She was waiting patiently at the border, respecting the etiquette of packs as it was taught to all younglings in their first months. Those who sought to harm Valyn would likely not take such measures to do so. While this wolf certainly was not small, she did not have the same stature as some of her siblings, which were the only wolves that truly intimidated the femme.

"Greetings, stranger. I am Valeria, the alphess of Valyn. To what do I owe the pleasure?" she smiled as she stared down at the green-eyed beauty. Genetics had certainly been kind to this one. As a mixture of amusement and curiosity danced through the femme's own gold eyes, she canvassed the area, curious to know from whence this wolf came. There were few who wandered out this way without intent. Perhaps she was simply here with the desire to join, but it was surprising to think that word of her pack had already reached the mainland. Valeria was most certain she would have to patrol the loner lands in search of new members. They would need time to find others who supported their cause, and somehow this one was showing up on their doorstep requesting to join. So was this the real world, or was this somehow a fluke? Either way, Valeria did not plan to argue.

This female was certainly more rugged in appearance than her other members. While Zofia was kind and average in build, Breeze was on the aged side and Athena had no desire to fight. It would be good for her own sanity to have a few more... structured wolves around the place. While she knew if it came down to it, any wolf would fight for their own safety, Valeria was fairly sure that their pack would draw some unwanted attention over time. Perhaps, if this wolf truly meant what she cried out, she would be open to the idea of protecting the pack...

Just when she was about to loose her patience, a scent began to grow stronger by the second. Perking her ears and smiling, she lifted from her haunches and kept a submissive posture. The wolfess before her was stunning, portraying beautiful golden fur in contrast to her ebony pelt. The female had to be the Alpha, so Amara decided to be respectful and courteous just like she had been with her so far. The female spoke kindly with a smile on her lips, making Amara smile back in response. "Greetings, stranger. I am Valeria, the alphess of Valyn. To what do I owe the pleasure?" "Greetings, Alphaess Valeria. My name is Amara. I am honored to meet you," she paused and bowed her head a little bit in respect before continuing, "I would love to seek acceptance into this pack. I really need a safe haven, and one I can also contribute to with the skills I have forged throughout the years." Her tone was warm and soft, even strange for the angelic female. Her words were tied with a smile on her face, but this smile was just a mask to hide the pain that made her shiver and scream every night. 

She really wanted to be part of a pack, but the idea of being surrounded by males disgusted her. He did not want any contact with them, and she was tired of being stepped over by the filth bags. She wanted to call a place home, to find a safe haven in which she could redeem herself and become a better wolfess without being surrounded by the scum of the Earth. Amara was very happy that she had found this place, and even if she didn't know this female in front of her, she knew that she meant hope for herself right now. Valeria was a symbol of what she wanted to be: strong. Amara took a deep breath and shifted her weight, waiting for the Alphaess' next questions.

While still a stranger, Valeria could see no harm in this female. She seemed sturdier than the others of the pack, and perhaps she could be of good use. After all, there were many wolves that would see a pack of females as a good source of prey. Clearly, all female were weak and unable to care for themselves. But she knew deep down that this would not be her pack. The current members of Valyn were all of strong resolve and would be able to hold their own. The bold personalities of each and every one of them shone out, and Amara would be another great recruit to the pack. "I see no reason to turn you away, Amara. I hope you have some skills that will contribute to the pack?" she inquired gently, curious to what the female was alluding. 

It would not be long before winter would come over the pack lands, and while Valeria sincerely doubted there would be a harsh, dangerous winter like there was in Acerbus, it was always best to make preparations. They would need adequate shelter and food stores, and she needed wolves able to contribute. Athena was too injured at this point to contribute on the hunts, and between Zofia and Valeria, it would be simpler with a third member. Certainly Breeze was available, but Valeria had not quite figured out their last pack mate yet. Something about her was skewed, but she could not figure out what. The alphess did not doubt her loyalty to the pack; she was just different from the rest of the females in her reasoning for joining, or so it appeared. They would grow closer in time, and perhaps Val could get to know the remainder of her family better each day.

"We should likely head back to the remainder of the pack. I welcome you, Amara, and hope that you will do great things in our family," she mused with a smile. This vision was getting brighter with each passing day.
