This was a whole new world to explore. As Leviathan poked his head out the front of the den, he glanced cautiously behind himself to ensure Mother was not watching. So far, she had watched over their every action and he had not been allowed out of the den. Hal and Kyrie would hopefully follow his lead. Arya... She could stay in the den. Levi did not have the patience to look after the littlest wolf. She was simply... there. Whereas his brother was a worthy adversary and Kyrie was rivaling them in size, Arya was little bitty. She could be run over without a second thought. And that stutter...
But never mind all those things. The mottled male shook his head in confusion; Mother clearly was not paying enough attention. With one last thrown glance behind him, the male darted out the front of the den, rushing over the moss-covered rocks. This was freedom. There was nothing out here that he could not conquer. There were so many things to experience, and Levi was curious to see what there was to do. As he nosed the water, lapping it up quietly, he quirked an eye back toward the dens. Maybe the others would come out with him. If not, it was their loss. There was no reason they should not follow, especially since it was not like Mother would actually do anything about it. The small brute took one last look back into the water, admiring his vibrant eyes. Clearly there was some of his father in him. Levi had never really taken any time to think about it. Mother was never talkative about him, and Levi was not one to question things. Clearly there was a reason behind everything, and quite honestly, even if there was not it would not affect him.
This was the life. This was freedom. No one was the boss of him out here, and he was going to soak it all up. The kenai male lunged forward, throwing his body forcefully into the lagoon. The water swirled around him, his little paws thrashing in an attempt to find the bottom. As the tips of his nails clipped against the ground, he caught his breath once more. This was not so bad, after all.
