Icy white paws touched upon the earth only to lift once more less than half a heartbeat later, muscles coil and spring free in a swift forward motion as she raced across the lands. A flash of an icicle moving effortlessly across the expanse with an obvious destination in mind, her fear that he would not be there. She was late, she knew, and she hoped he would understand why. If he was still there that is, if he didn’t think she had stood him up. So she would push her paws faster, eating up the distance with incredible speed, pushing her limits until at long last she approached the edge of the lands they had agreed to meet at.
The sun had long since reached its peak only to start dipping toward the horizon, billowing clouds blocking it from view. Would the rains come? Mythril had yet to notice, had yet to study the way they played to be able to determine such. Coming to a stop she took in great breaths, steady and slow, as she took several minutes to force her pounding heart to settle, even as she walked to cool herself, keeping those limbs loose. The ever present pain that always accompanied her had thickened, but that to was ruthlessly shoved aside as the clear pale moons of her eyes searched the shadows, seeking that tall silvered figure. The pink muscle pushed itself out from between ivory fangs, panting from her run.
“Captain…?” She would call out hesitantly, did he leave? Had he even shown up? Dealing with the stranger had taken a bit longer then she had anticipated though Kiva, and Eidus had been quick to respond to her call. It had still delayed her. It would be a few more minutes before she was able to steady her breath and heart enough to scent the air, seeking some sign of the Ultoris’s beta.
