Aaricia had made it a point to visit every new land that Kairos conquered. They were getting quite skilled in expansion, if she did say so herself. Not that long ago, Kairos had taken Acerbus from Descai. Now, they had taken this new land from Valyn. It was a shame, really. Aaricia had heard of Valyn... their values... their leader... and had respect for them. She admired opposing alpha's strength and courage. It takes more than ambition to stand up to a pack like Kairos (easily the most powerful pack on the island). However, her sympathies didn't stretch far. Kairos was her first and only loyalty. It was built on her family's hard work, determination, ambition, strength, valor, and courage. Their family had really moved up in the world. From orphans to a mighty empire - it was quite the story. Maybe she'd have pups someday to tell it to.
However, the story wasn't over yet. Kairos had a lot more growing to do. It had done this much, but it could do so much more. Nothing could stop them now. The only thing that needed improvement before this picture would be perfect would be her own standing within the pack. Bitterness and ungratefulness didn't suit the former princess. No, she was just.. hungry for more. Goliath had accomplished more than she, and possibly even he, could have ever imagined when this pack was formed. Sabaoth had become General. Isaiah was Judge. Where was she? A huntress. Hunting was fine and dandy. She enjoyed it - the thrill, the chase, the kill. But she saw herself doing more. She knew she was capable of more. She had to be. Aaricia may have had her eyes on a few positions, some were filled, some were not, some may have been open for discussion, others she'd have to fight tooth and nail for. Decisions, decisions. She didn't want to tell her future pups of the greatness of their uncles and have them ask her why she hadn't been great like them.
Aaricia's paws tread along the newly won ground. She had passed by some baboons and saw a large snake overhead. The fauna on this side of the island was certainly different from what she was used to, but she liked the jungle. It was beautiful, fertile, and serene. She could see why the previous alphess had chosen it. The air was sweet despite winter being upon them. When they had conquered Acerbus, Aaricia had remembered wanting to leave as soon as she had arrived. It was dead and dirty (and a bit eerie). But she imagined that she could spend all day here. She believed the choice to expand here was a good one, she was proud of her nephew, Typhon. He was turning into quite the warrior.
