Savara bounced and leaped was she made her way across the frozen expanse. Snow! Real live snow! She hadn't seen any of the cold white stuff since she left Russia! Now, this was her element and the fact that it was dark out made this new land feel more and more like Russia. Like home.
Yipping happily, the undersized MacKenzie Valley Wolf female shoved her muzzle into the cold powder and tossed her head back; causing the fallen snow to form an arc in the bright blue, cloudless sky over her head. The disturbed snow then resettled; clinging to the fur on little foreign female's head and on the back of her neck. Instead of shaking it off, Vara let it just sit there. She was happy to feel the familiar, icy sting of the snow as it melted from her body heat and seeped into her fur. That being said, Savara flopped over and rolled around in the powdery, cold substance.
Yes, she was acting like a pup. Yes, an onlooker might even mistake her for one due to her size. But, did the three year old Russian female care about what others thought of her? The answer to that question was simple. No, she didn't care. Well, actually she sort of did.
Sav had yet to meet any wolves that she could possibly form a tight, strong bond with. And the ones that she had conversed with briefly probably thought that she behaved in an odd manner or that she made them uncomfortable with her lack of social skills.
Finally, her pup like energy was depleted and the Russian princess stopped thrashing about and rolled over onto her back and drew her front legs close to her petite form. A pale pink tongue flopped loosely to the side and her gum metal grey eyes shone with pure joy.
Due to the snow and the fact that she was lost in her own little world, Savara failed to notice if anyone was approaching her.
