The dawn was filled with silence, a hush just before the sun broke through on the horizon throwing its powerful rays across the land waiting with baited breath for the coming day. The gleam of pale grey eyes reflected those first tentative tendrils turning them to gold. The elegant lupine visage they graced was held up with pride despite the reclining figure. Even the sun took a moment to caress the pelt of fire that draped the vixens form. Forelegs extended forward were crossed at the joint further enhancing the ladylike demeanor that shrouded the female wolf like a cloak. Perched atop that cranium, twin soldiers perked with attentive interest as Gailleann watched the sunrise.
It had been more than a week since she'd last seen her friend, and the lonely sensation was an inevitable arrow piercing her heart. In all her life she had never once been truly alone. She'd always had her sister, inseparable from the day of their birth. But now, perhaps Mal was right, maybe her sister was lost to her forever. Those ears pinned back against her skull and a firm shake was given. No! No matter what she would never give up hope that her sister has survived, had washed ashore on this island just as she had. Because any other thought was to much for the lone female to bear.
The sides of that fiery figure rose then fell with a heavy sigh as the light grew and the day began. She hoped to someday meet Mal once again, and the mysterious Saphira that he'd mentioned several times in between training sessions. He had wanted to return to her, and once he felt she was knowledgeable enough to defend herself he had departed. Leann didn't know if he thought of her as a friend, or anything for that matter, but she certainly did.
With a lazy stretch she finally stood, having enjoyed a meal of fawn the night before there was no need or desire to hunt. For food at least, instead she would continue her search for her sister, and endless task that she would never give up. Lifting her black tipped muzzle to the skies she took in a deep breath, drawing in, and analyzing each individual scent that graced her with its presence.
