It was rare that the maned wolf left the comfort of her own home and pack lands. For the older she grew, the less adventurous she seemed to become. She would much rather be in her own lands, with her own pack mates than off wandering through loner lands pondering over if she’d meet any friends or worse, any enemies. But, on this particular day, she had decided to make an exception and travel outside of Eden boundaries. The weather was warm, unusually so for the winter months, and the sun shone bright in the ever blue sky above. A gentle breeze rolled across the lands rustling her red fur. She couldn’t help but be excited for the coming of spring, which, by the weather, was just right around the corner.
As she traveled, she kept her eyes peeled for any places that seemed of interest. But, so far, there had been none. Again, she was reminded of why she never ventured out much, for no lands she had seen so far were as pretty as Tiayr and she doubted any even existed. Her land had everything from rolling hills that were fun to run around, a gorgeous lake that was a blast to swim in, cliffs and overhangs that offered amazing views and caverns that provided safe and dry dens for the entire pack. There was simply no way any other land had as much to offer as the land her father had chosen to claim.
Finally, her neon purple eyes caught sight of something that perked her interest. Off to the right was a field of wildflowers, or what would have been wildflowers had it been spring. Instead, it was mostly dry grass and a few baby stems that she knew would mature with the warmer weather. Walking over to it, her imagination flooded her thoughts with pictures of what the clearing must look like during the spring and summer. Surely there flowers of all different colors and butterflies galore. Oh she would love to see all the butterflies that would be drawn to the place. It was then that she decided that once spring had made itself known, she would venture back out to this place and enjoy some time among the butterflies.
