[Theona]

The Tundra wolfess hadn't been a member of Ananke for long, but she already began to feel intertwined with day-to-day pack life in some respects. Her social interactions with other members were limited, but simply being able to call herself a part of Ananke was enough for Theona. She somehow felt more whole and at peace than when she was living as a loner. A few adjustments had to be made in order to function well within her pack. She needed to constantly remind herself that her guard didn't need to be up at all times. There were pros and cons to both lifestyles, she had observed, but so far she greatly preferred pack life over the unpredictable life of a loner. She did, however, miss being able to travel freely whenever she pleased and hoped she would be sent on some sort of diplomatic mission soon.

Aveline was a fairly expansive territory in the she-wolf's eyes. It was the largest place she had ever been able to call home and actually feel safe at all times. The geography of the area was extremely intriguing to her as well. She was especially drawn to the vast crater located close to the center of the borders. That was why she found herself visiting the rugged indentation in the land on this mildly cool morning. She sat within the valley-like formation, comfortable and content, and peered curiously at her surroundings.

She was happy here. Her journey had only begun within the pack, but she was already happy with her decision to join the ranks. The only nerve wracking part of the experience so far was the anticipation of getting to know her fellow pack mates. Theona was a sociable, friendly canine for the most part, but she worried about others' perception of her. She didn't want to be seen as weak or even as dead weight dragging everyone else down. She was a hard worker and would prove herself to them if need be. She hoped to make some friends of course, but pack duties were always going to be a top priority to the black and red hued femme.

[Skye]

After exploring the marsh, she thought she would explore somewhere else. Some place that did not hold as much threat as the waters of the marsh did. When she came across the crater, her coat was only damp. Her muscles had stopped twitching altogether now as she seemed to be moving with a lot more ease than she had going through the marsh. She was determined to explore more of Aveline. When she reached the crater, she continued on with no trail in mind. It wasn't until she found a black creature wondering around. One that looked similar to her, but not. Not approaching the way she probably should, Skye stayed back a little until she knew that she was not intruding in on their thoughts or exploration. Though the mottled creature had met already only three of the pack members, she knew she should probably continue meeting more of them, but after being use to being told to remain quiet, it was merely instinct anymore to remain quiet until one either started talking to her or she felt the need to start the conversation. This time though, she would remain the silent one until she knew that it would be safe; even if that meant that she had to wait for how ever long. Ananke may be a friendly pack so far, but every wolf she would encounter here, would be different in several different ways since they all had very different pasts. It was a while after staying back a ways, watching, before she tried to quietly approach the other creature, but the land under her quietly shifted under her weight, giving soft noises. [Theona]

The Tundra female was very pleased to stroll around and explore on her own. She wouldn't mind sharing the experience with another wolf, but it seemed that she really didn't have anyone else. Since arriving here, Theona had only had a true interaction with Nimue on the day of her acceptance. She longed to form bonds with her packmates, but she wasn't the type of female to go out of her way to meet others. If the situation arose, however, she would of course be more than happy to have a nice conversation with any of her fellow Ananke wolves.

It wasn't very long before the scent of another wolf, a female, entered her range. She wondered where this elusive wolf was, but didn't see her anywhere. Due to the topography of the crater, it was difficult to tell exactly where the scent was originating from. Deciding not to ponder over it any further, she simply continued on her walk without giving it another thought.

A few times, Theona's audits picked up soft noises from behind her. The sounds were so quiet and far off sounding that she didn't consider turning her head for almost two or three minutes. At that point though, things seemed off. When she turned, she was greeted almost immediately by the sight of another wolf. The Tundra came to a halt and swiveled her body to face the ebony colored wolfess. Caught slightly off guard by the idea that she had been followed, she couldn't speak at first. When she came to her senses, though, she smiled in a soft, friendly way and flicked her ears in greeting. "Hello.. I didn't know that I was being followed," she said in an almost apologetic way though she didn't quite know why she felt the urge to be the one apologizing for not noticing the Timber female. "I'm assuming you are of Ananke. I am Theona, may I ask what I should call you?"

The scent of this stranger seemed somewhat familiar, as if she had picked it up sometime in the mixture of scents that belonged to the other wolves living in Aveline. Theona relaxed her stiffened shoulders since this femme was hopefully not a threat. She needed to start trusting those around her, but she wasn't used to it just yet. Although she was naturally a friendly female, Theona naturally had her initial doubts due to her lifetime being spent as a loner where any wolf she came across could've had the intentions to kill her for no reason. But this yellow-eyed female did not seem threatening at all, and Theona needed to resist her instincts to immediately expect the worst. Instead, she awaited an explanation from the she wolf patiently and didn't create any more unrealistic scenarios in her head.

[Skye]

Pausing to look around, she turned her head back to the female she was following when it caught her attention that she had been caught. "Sorry, I should have announced myself to you earlier." She nearly mumbled as she lowered her head and her tail moving softly between her back legs. Holding her head low, did not stay long as the other introduced herself. "I'm Skye." Her voice went from mumbled to strong and clear as she let her tail rise with a curled tip. "It is a pleasure to meet you Theona." A pleasure it was. The more she seemed to be meeting her pack mates, the more confident the creature had in herself among the Ananke pack lands, though the loner lands were still a mystery. Even though she had not been a part of Ananke that long, she was still feeling like she had found her spot here. As if Aveline had become her home, and it had become safe for her to wander as she pleased, though she still had to return to the main gathering spot every now and then, but she wasn't restricted to it. She could get out and stretch as she wished without much of a worry. Skye was enjoying her time here, and was happy that the lead huntress of Ananke had found her and told her about them. "Exploring just as well darling?" Tilting her head slightly, she watched the other dark colored creature, wondering what she was thinking. Knowing that it would be a bad idea to think or even ask, Skye simply sat down, her bright eyes not moving from her current companion. Her ears twitched slightly as she listened to the land around her, but her gaze did not falter from Theona. Not even the slightest scents of prey deterred her attention like it use to. [Sorin]

After his run in with the strange male outside of the pack borders, Sorin opted to keep his wanderings within the border of Ananke's territory, at least for a short while. The Chieftan had mentioned to him that a crater within the territory was quite the sight to see, so the male found himself drawn toward the gaping hole in the ground, curious to explore within its radius for anything of interest to the male. At first sight, it appeared to be nothing more than a large chunk taken out of the ground, but to Sorin, it was much more. This was the magnificent site of some sort of impact, but whatever had struck the earth was long since gone. The red and white male found himself drawn to the curious place, and it did not hurt that his Chieftan had recommended he seek it out if he had thirst. Little did she know, his thirst was not one that could be quenched by a casual drink.

As the male explored, he caught a familiar scent once more. Sorin was pleased to see that, after such a short time in Ananke, he was already starting to recognize others. Skye was nearby, and from the smell of it, she was not alone this time. Though it was against his better judgment, the male set out in search of his pack male, curious who was in her company. His previous warnings about remaining safe still lingered in the back of his mind; what if the femme had found herself in some sort of danger? Though they were safely within the confines of Ananke territory, that did not mean there were not still rogue wolves out and about. He could not put anything past them; case and point, the lone male from his resting place. He had a sense of consistent unease in the male's presence, and Sorin knew well enough to trust his instincts. He would keep the members of the pack safe, even if it meant he was risking himself for a female.

And so the male lurked on the ridge, carefully watching the confrontation between two black females. The one, Skye, he knew well as a member of Ananke. The pair seemed to be on casual enough terms, which meant it was likely they were both of the pack. Sorin monitored the two with a watchful eye, searching for any signs of trouble as he hovered needlessly. He could not see how his actions would potentially be construed as threatening as he hunkered down in the brush, watching the two with curious grey eyes without daring to breathe a word to either.

[Theona]

A warm smile appeared on the female's muzzle when her shadow finally greeted her and shared her name. It was nice to know that the other canine's intentions were not malicious or suspicious, and her sweet apology was very much appreciated by Theona. By nature, the Tundra was not an entirely forgiving wolf, but this Skye had done nothing at all to wrong her except catch her slightly off guard. "Hello, Skye. The pleasure is all mine," she replied softly, truly grateful to be having a pleasant conversation with a packmate rather than a heated confrontation with a trespasser.

At the word of exploring, the black and red hued she-wolf couldn't help but chuckle lightly. It was true, most of her travels within Aveline could be seen as exploring a foreign land. It might not have been what the other wolf was thinking when she asked this, but Theona couldn't help but linger on the thought. She was so new, and although this place did feel like home to her, her familiarity with the area would only come with time and practice. "It appears so. I'm still finding my way around here, for I'm a rather new addition to Ananke." It was such a different feeling to not be entirely knowledgeable of the geography of an area. Excluding claimed territories, she knew most of the ins and outs of any other place on Anikira. Adjusting to Aveline would come quickly to her just as adjusting to the entire continent had as she grew up.

Feeling completely relaxed now, the canine wondered what this meeting could bring for her. Perhaps it could reward her with a new friend, which would be appreciated very much. Theona was social, and living her days without any well-known acquaintances would cause her boredom to return once again. Sighing softly, her clay colored eyes watched the other female's movements and weight shifts carefully. Acute observations were something Theona gathered regularly. Being the audience to the intriguing world around her was enough to keep her well occupied for now.

[Karath]

The male had recently joined this pack, and he was completely honest with himself when he had decided to explore the area. If he was going to do this properly then he would have to be familiar with this area if it ever came to protecting it. Scenting the air he paused there were other Ananke wolves around, flickering his ears he hesitated before heading towards them. It couldn't hurt to get to know some of his pack-mates, maybe he would meet another warrior and gather some knowledge of it that might not be obvious to himself.

As he began to stroll closer to the group he noticed the two females, he was just close enough to hear words but not close enough to discern them. He observed the wolves around him, there was another male scent there. He was about to dismiss it as old until he caught a vague shape in the brush. The male bore the scent of this pack but it didn't quite make sense that he was hunkering down. Shrugging his shoulders he paid it little mind.

Careful not to approach too fast he slowed his pace, if they had not already detected him then his less than quiet paw-steps and scent would soon make his presence known before he was close. The females were both of darker coloration. A laugh huffed through his nose as he cast his gaze briefly to his own coat. The air held no tension so Karath was fairly sure that this meeting was friendly - maybe he should head back. If the pair knew each other then this would simply be exceedingly awkward, and he would end up going off on his own shortly thereafter anyways.

Worth a shot eh thought vaguely before pricking his ears forward into an amicable position, and opening his maw to introduce himself.

[Skye]

A dark tail moved slightly behind the mottled creature as she shifted her weight from one side to the next. Her nose barely twitched as new scents reached her. Not sure if they were old scents or new,  Skye felt her limbs stiffen slightly, only her eyes darting from side to side a few times before she looked back at the pack mate. "We both have plenty to learn of Aveline." The small sounds of a wolf close by caught her attention before she turned her head to look at them. Her nose twitched again as she took in his pack scent, though a soft growl grew in her chest. Forcing to keep it silent, she gave a soft nod to him as she kept all vocals silent. It wasn't long before she had to move around so that she could look at both creatures without her back to either of them and wasn't having to move her eyes and head too much if they were to talk much. Not even the sounds around her tore her attention from the two other creatures, the new one with a semi-dark coat like the two ladies themselves. If she hadn't already met a few others, she probably would have begun to think that Ananke was the  home of several dark wolves with very little range. Though Silver and Sorin kept her mind straight from that. There was probably a wide variety of colors around, and not just dark coated creatures such as themselves. "Another member?" Skye finally managed to ask as she watched him try to sneak up on them. Though her voice showed no sign of aggression, it did show just a slightest hint of fear. The same fear she was working on getting over. She was doing good on it though, seeing how she managed to find a voice that was clear, but not yet as strong as it was when she was around familiar friends, but she was sure that once she knew more of her new pack, she would not have the problem of an Omega.
