Changes have become too severe in Anikira, and the wolves have been temporarily relocated to the Anikiran Southern Isles. Things have grown dire and unlivable on the mainland; it was time for outside intervention. Please be sure to review the full update on the staff board for more information!
The current season is fall in the Southern Isles. Due to their proximity to the equator, the region is still warm. There is currently no breeding and no birthing amongst the wolves
There was a bracing chill in the air that simply invigorated the fluffy white female. This was her kinda weather, she was built for it. But more than that she loved the sparkling snow under bright sunlight or the silver glow of the moon. It was a beautiful time of year if you just stopped at looked at it. Dark forest green eyes danced about as her gaze shifted endlessly as she trotted through the snow, leaving a seemingly endless trail of prints behind her. She laughed to herself as she thought about what Audas might say. She should be more careful to not leave such deep tracks, but she wasn't intent on hiding from anyone. Although the practice would do her a world of good.
She had heard of the litters that had been born within the pack and she was so excited to meet them. She adored pups! In many ways she was like them with her endless energy and intense curiosity. She had hoped o have some of her own this year, but didn't dwell on it. their time would come when it was right. Until then she would remain diligent in her duties and hopefully would meet the youngsters soon.
That is of course when their parents allow them out. Since she was rather vague on when they were born, she didn't know how long she would have to wait. patience wasn't always easy for her but there was nothing else to do but wait.
A playful breeze tugged on her fur and she abandoned her current train of thought and simply dashed where the breeze directed her. Which happened to be straight into the woods and through the brush. Not that she minded being taken from the vast open land, that was merely a detail.
Barking in joy, much like a youngster would, Nymph bounced from here to there without much of a care in the world.
Ever since Lyra had heard of the intriguing art, the young coywolf had been rather fascinated with the practice of healing. She knew that her mother was a healer herself, but the inquisitive pup did not want to bother the Shaman with questions so instead, the mottled fae sought out herbs to study, plants to investigate. When her family was not looking and the den was silent, Lyra rose from her position on the ground to pad mutely outside, appreciating the way that the wind felt on her multihued fur and how bright and luscious everything seemed. A soft smile spread onto her maw and streaked paws walked through the cool landscape, amber optics brightening in focus as they took in the frost and dew of this 'winter'.
After a while in the icy weather, Lyra began feeling the frigid temperature getting to her. After all, at her age, she did not quite have the body to withstand such algid inclemency well, despite it not being awfully cold and her breed being suitable for such climates. However, the sensual femme did not resent the cold for causing such unease within her, no—rather, she almost revelled in it, enjoying the sensation of her pelt being cooled in spite of the shivering. The orange-eyed female sighed contentedly, a puff of crisp condensation clouding around her lips as she exhaled. After standing there for a moment, the gelidity of the air biting harshly at her skin, the colourful youth moved yet again, venturing into Xayar Forest.
Mixed in with the sonority of birdsong was the sound of something else—an animal. Footsteps of an animal. And then there was a yipping tone resonating through the woods, that of a wolf, signifying to Lyra that one of her father's kind was nearby. Reacting immediately, petite paws raced towards the source of the sound, a young mind excited to meet others. Was this a wolf from Airila? The young coywolf was fairly certain that she was in the territory of her natal pack so it seemed quite likely. Hopefully it was true, because she most certainly did not want to be facing a possibly hostile intruder, as well as wanting to meet others from her pack.
When her minute paws had carried Lyra to the other canine in the vicinity, warm amber oculi found a stark white wolf who was noticeably larger than Lyra. The stranger had emerald green eyes and emitted a feminine aroma, as well as seeming rather playful and frisky. Unsure of what to do, the marbled pup simply stood there awkwardly, wondering how she ought to have tried going about talking to the female. Did she greet her? Should she have introduced herself? Still nervous about doing something, fiery orbs burned the ground and did not meet the warmer forest green ones as Lyra hoped for the older wolf to initiate some sort of social interaction. Coyote x Eastern Timber ☀ Four Months ☀ Female ☀ Airila Pup
She was nearly five years old but she was just like a pup in many ways. Leaping around in the lands of her packs was one of her favorite past times. But that was soon halted as she came face to face with an odd looking youngster who seemed to have just shown up out of nowhere. Beaming a smile, Nymph offered her a kind greeting as she tried and figure out who this pup belonged too. She knew of a couple litters expected this season, sadly she was not one of them. The plan was to start a family of her own this winter but it just hadn't come about as she wished. "Hello there, pretty one. I am Nymph, a gatherer for Airila. Enjoying the day? Whats your name?" A bombardment of questions threatened to spill over her tongue but she didn't wish to frighten the little female.
Instead she paused and smiled as her fluffy banner swung back and forth behind her. Trying to stay calm was hard but she was learning patience with such things. She would get her questions answered in time she just had to try harder and space them well instead of just one long string of inquiries. But the wait was so hard!
Dancing her paws over the ground in excitement at meeting possibly a new friend, the little female tried her best to wait for an answer. Was she an only child or did she have siblings? Nymph loved the picture of several babes tumbling around. With how pretty this girl was she had to have been the sweetest looking little pup when she was born.
After a bit of observation, Nymph began to wonder if this was Calantha's baby. The coyote was Shaman and Nymph had run across her during meetings and gathering adventures of her own. However, time would tell.

In an effort to provide the least restrictve roleplaying environment available, Anikira and their staff are looking to move to the Proboards paid forums. This forum would allow unlimited writing freedom to members, as well as an ad-free environment and our ability to customize the forum and its ratings/content however we choose! In order to do so, we will require your help! There is a monthly cost associated with this service, and any and all donations toward this goal are appreciated. Please use the PayPal link below for all donations for Anikira maintenance and moving costs. We look forward to a roleplaying environment where the sky is the limit!
Please note the donation page is listed under Uru's name as it cannot be listed otherwise without a business account. All funds associated with this PayPal account will be used directly for the maintenance and costs of Anikira, and hopefully soon anikira.com as our roleplaying forum.
This untraditional coupling is one of the truly loving matches in Anikira. Although they are members of two different species, Calantha and Rikez have overcome the differences and rose above, finding love in the most pure of ways. And from this pairing, a litter born of two loving parents was conceived. These little boys and girls will have the great honor of being raised by two parents that support each other, while many of the offspring in Anikira have not had such a benefit. The pair are truly fitting of one another; both kind-hearted and generally good individuals.
