These lands held something of poor memories for the grey male. As Aurik left Dianthe's side once more, he found that he needed a bit of time away from the center of Kairos territory. The tensions were running high in the pack, and it was probably best that he made himself scarce at this point. Dianthe's news that Goliath's son, Typhon, had taken over the pack came as a surprise to the lone male. He had lurked within their borders and gathered information about the pack over time, but this was not something he expected to occur. Goliath had ruled the pack with an iron paw, and it simply did not make sense to the male that he would walk away from everything. But alas, this was not his family, so he had no right to stick his nose into their business. Instead, he made the much easier swim to the new tip of the lava-crusted grounds, content to find his way to the mainland once more. Kairos certainly had a good situation, nestled away from the rest of the island, but Aurik found the travel back and forth to be extremely tedious.
Though he was able to come and go from the Kairos lands without worry, that did not mean he thought it wise to leave right now. Aurik was afraid that, should the scent of their pack fall from his coat, he would not be allowed back in. If that were the case, how would he ever get back to Dianthe and Roka? His little Dianthe often found herself in trouble these days, from her own recounts of her adventures, and Aurik could not bring himself to be far from her. Instead, he opted to linger on the sidelines, casually tracking her scent to ensure she did not wander too far from the family. After the story of Tarak and getting lost, he was immensely fearful that she may get lost and not find her way back to him.
But he would always find his way to her.
Once again, the young grey male found himself without task or entertainment. Though he briefly debated the hunt, he shrugged the idea off quickly. He would not dare take prey from the lands until he had a chance to either speak with this Typhon character or leave. He was not going to anger yet another Emperor of Kairos.
