Water. Water and more water. Endless colors of blue and green. Cold, and wet darkness.
A low groan escaped the muzzle of the leggy wolf who’s pelt looked like that of a fox. His eyes flickered open, rainbow colored spots drizzled around his vision. He closed his eyes again, only to see water behind his eye lids. How long had he been out at sea? Swimming to what seemed like nothingness. He couldn’t feel his legs. Was he still swimming? He didn’t feel like he was moving. He felt like he was standing still. Or more so like laying still. He could no longer feel the sloshing of the waves on his body.
He took a deep breath. His nose wrinkled, the air was still tick with salt, however there was a hint of other scents. What where they? Vegetation? Other wolves? The manned brute tried to open his eyes again. The sun shined bright on his orbs, causing him to wince in pain. He blinked several times but forced his eyes open. The spots he’d seen earlier soon cleared and he saw sky. Clear blue sky. He lifted his head ever so slightly. He heard the soft crunch of sand under his head.
Land. At last, land.
He felt as if he could leap for joy. Another groan escaped his mouth as he forced his body up more. Sand clung to his salty wet pelt. He cringed slightly, wrinkles ripped up his long muzzle. He smelt horrible, and felt horrible. His muscles ached everywhere, and he felt very dirty. Salt and sand clotted into his pelt like there was no tomorrow. He frowned slightly, and tested his long legs to satiability. He wobbled slightly as he tried to stand. His paws pressed into the sand, making paw shaped craters in them. He smiled slightly as he stood still.
Now, the real test. Could he walk?
Carefully, the manned brute put one leg in front of the others, followed by the opposite back leg. He smiled slightly, so far so good. He did the same but with the other legs and slowly he walked a few steps. He sighed relieved. Sitting on his hunches he looked around and ran his tongue along his rustled colored fur. He didn’t seem to have any injuries either, which was good. He felt very sore however. He lifted up his head and looked around the area, his deep sky blue orbs scanned the area. This beach was actually quite lovely looking. ‘Hmm.’ He thought, standing up once more. Where was he? Anikira? The continent he was aiming for? He licked his muzzle with his long pinky colored tongue and started to trot along the beaches. The sand felt nice under his paws, warm and soft.
He knew he was definitely somewhere where there was other wolves. He could smell their scents. Several, some scents stronger than others and some older. The scent that lingered strongest was the fresh ocean breeze. Something he was just about tired of smelling. He’d been crazy to swim all this way, but it was his only way here. Luckily for his long legs, it made him a good swimmer. Apollo definitely knew one thing however.
He would not be swimming for a long time to come.
Ooc: Opened to anyone. :]
