Kadhi mustered up the darkest glare he could and sent it towards his alpha. This was rediculous! Xinelil thought he was doing them all a favor? He'd beat himself up if what of them died? Well, what if Xinelil died? What if the pack was left without their alpha? What would they do? Who would they serve? The only reason Kadhi joined the damn pack was because he was sick of being alone.
Xinelil had seemed like someone he could trust, and get along with most of the time. The environment posed an intriguing challenge to him both physically and mentally. Here he had a family. If something happened to the alpha, Kadhi would go back to having nothing. Sure there was Miki, and possibly this Jay and Perry lady, but none of them really seemed fit to lead. Miki was eager to please, Jay was still green, and Peregrine was doing a find job of submitting. As for the Arabian brute, he was anything but a leader. He was rude, crass, disrespectful... He didn't normally care what others did, or what he himself did for that matter. Kadhi wasn't fit to take over the pack, and in truth he didn't want to. He liked things the way they were, and the idea of Xin running off and getting himself hurt was driving him mad.
Just as he'd opened his mouth to argue, the alpha brute turned his words into a command. There was no room for debate. The decision was final, end of discussion. To argue would be futile. The Arabian had a better chance of getting his tail bit off than changing the alpha's mind. Backing up a few steps, Kadhi lowered himself into a sitting position, mumbling the entire time. He made no move to hide his displeasure with the decision. Fine, he'd go away with it. The Arctic male had said nothing about not complaining though. "Stupid, thoughtless, irrational, danger, should worry about own life, idiot... After a moment of muttering under his breath, he looked up to purposely catch Xinelil's gaze with his own. A half smile decorated his maw though his amber eyes still scowled. "Ya know chief, this dumb little stunt of yours is something I'd normally pull. It's a two way street ya know. If you end up dead I won't be forgiving myself any time soon for fighting my instincts and actually listenin' to ya."
With that he sighed, lowering himself to lay down. His head rested on his forepaws as he let the frown tug on his lips again. He hadn't gone about it in the most graceful mannor, but he had basically stated that he would go along with his orders for the time being. There was no gaurentee that he wouldn't start a search party if Xinelil took too long to get back. For now, though, he'd be a good little brute and wait in the dens. It was the least he could do given his past behavior.
The voices of the femmes chased away his displeasure as he shifted to look between Perry and Miki. So they would be getting another new member. That's good. Hopefully she was a useful creature. And it seemed that Meikou had just woken herself from a little nap. He hadn't actually realized before that she was sleeping. "So sleeping beauty finally awakens, eh?" he questioned with a bit of sarcasm, cocking his head to one side. He didn't bother to answer any of her questions, as they were not directed towards him. Instead, he kept his mouth shut and laid his head back down on his paws, intently listening to the conversations at hand.
