Matha sighed. At least one wolf was seeming to make peace with her. She sighed and glanced at the back of the den. Another female was there, a long-haired one who seemed to show no interest in taking sides in this conversation.
Matha's brown orbs darted around the immense caverns. She then sighed and curled up in front of the entrance. "Sorry about what happened to your parents, Mister.... what's your name?" Matha questioned the male that had commented none too lightly on her apology.
She sighed. "What am I thinking... I'm not getting anywhere at this rate..." If she was driven out, where else would Matha go? She'd never been a fan of the eerie forest slightly east of them, and the desert really wasn't her ideal living space. And as far as she knew, the wastelands due north of here weren't even claimed yet.
She had to stay here. Matha sighed again as the wolf shouted at her for her little comment. Great, just when she thought that she'd been beginning to make amends with these wolves, they were on the defensive again. She stood up to explain. "Look, I..." she had never been plotting against the pack. That had been thunderclouds Matha.
"I was talking about my brother. He's the entire reason why my parents are dead. If he even comes here, I'm going to claw his insides out." Matha shook her head. What was she thinking, standing up to and offending other wolves that were older than her? Hadn't she learned her lesson already?
I'm gonna get kicked out... I'm gonna get kicked out... These words repeated over and over in Matha's head. She sighed. "At the rate I'm going, I probably deserve it." she muttered.
