With no colors in our skin
'til we let the spectrum in.
A petite form was like a red phantom as she weaved herself in out of different plants that were just a bit higher than herself, hardly making any traceable path as she moved quietly. While Naomi appeared relaxed, her limbs were moving rather quickly as she trotted forward for really no reason at all. A bright full moon shone above, shining down on the whole prairie, not giving many places to hid with the warming light. It was the first clear night in so long that perhaps Naomi was actually quite amused. At least enough to let herself to waste valued energy in a trot across in the dead of night. Twinkling stares caught her vision for a second and she came to a halt. Those deep blue orbs stared into them as they reflected back in her own. A certain sign escaped her as she let what breath she had lost, to fill her lungs once more.
Naomi was aware of how close she was to crossing a pack boarder. The smells of the lupine were everywhere and she was careful to not cross onto their boarders. She needed little trouble and dealing with a whole pack was begging for certain death or at least wounds that could cause her death. Naomi just needed to survive, at least for now that was all she needed. Suddenly, her rump hit the prairie damp ground. Damp, from a recent rain storm. The sky was so beautiful tonight that she didn't want to move on anymore. Instead, Naomi wanted to stay there til dawn awakened the world with it's bright orange colors and then Naomi would slip off, a phantom in the daylight, to find a sleeping den. Maybe wake up and catch a meal to suffice her already underweight body. It was not by accident that she was underweight, but a mere lack of wanting food.
The ivory four-socked lupine suddenly laid slowly to the earth and rolled onto her body. Small objections poked into her back, but they didn't bother her much. She could clean her reddish, black fur later on when Naomi actually felt like being somewhat clean. Those deep blue orbs narrowed now, on the inky blue night. A chill breeze happened to rush over her, but it did little to falter that powerful graze. A soft, almost inaudible hum began to vibrate her vocal cords as Naomi began thinking of what could have been and what could be. She could've been an Alphess, a Queen among her lupine. But was that ever want she wanted? As of the moment, she could barely care for herself. Hell, she still stank like salty sea from the ocean she had swam to get here.
A gruff sound was made at this thinking. "That isn't want I wanted. This is better for myself." She stated quietly aloud before letting her eyelids began to flutter closed and her thoughts to drift. She wasn't asleep, but in a state of such deep thought that her breathing began to slow as well as her heartbeat. Naomi began to tune out those annoying crickets and any other noise maker in the world. She fell into a world where out worldly things could happen. Things that she wouldn't dare speak about with anyone but her own mind, like she was two lupine inside one body.
