A tiny golden snout poked out from the old, brush-covered rubble of Kalus's Point. With a quiet huff, Valeria pranced out into the open, happy that she - somehow - managed to escape her mother's oversight, albeit briefly. Her tail wagged casually behind her as the large Mackenzie Valley pup trampled all over the rocks and dirt, her gaze focused on one thing and one thing only: the elusive monarch butterfly.Valeria had been stalking the little bugger for quite some time now, but every time she got too close, the orange and black bug fluttered away again! Finally, she tracked it down. Her gold eyes trained in on the critter, absolutely certain that she had caught it this time. She crouched down and snuck toward the butterfly, careful to keep herself as quiet as a two month old pup could possibly be when traipsing through an old wreckage of a town. A soft giggle slipped from her lips as she smirked; it would not get away from her again. As she slid across the dirt without a care in the world, the adventurous pup wiggled her rump in the air, poised to pounce. And then, without any further warning, BAM! She sprung at the butterfly, finally taking it off guard and snapping it up in her mouth. Finally! The pup yipped triumphantly, dancing around in tight circles as she chewed on her victim. And then...
"Blegch!" she exclaimed, trying to spit out the bitter butterfly, but unfortunately, the bug stuck to the roof of her mouth. How in the world was she going to get rid of the taste?! She swiped at her mouth with her paws, trying to dislodge the bits of the wings stuck to the roof of her mouth and in her teeth to no avail. "Why? Why why why?!" she whined, slumping in annoyance as she spat as much as she could out. It was not like Valeria to get frustrated so easily, but it took her so long to catch that thing! How was she supposed to know that the pretty colors would taste terrible and make her want to puke? "Atlas? Zofia?" she called out to her brother and sister, wondering if they were anywhere close to her. She just wanted to have her sister make her feel better. Atlas was okay company, but he was a bit of a pansy in her opinion. She was a big, strong female and he was little compared to her. It probably did not help their relationship that she teased him about not only being smaller, but also for not looking like her and her sister at all. She just thought that Atlas got the bad end of the stick. "Come on, guys. Come here!" she called her in her tiny howling voice. She wanted to play, and she wanted them there, now, so that she could push them around some more!

Notes: I know that Nia's on absence/low activity but I figured Atlas could get in on this thread at the very least. Snuffles, I don't know if you'd want to bring Sarin in as well because I know how rough it is to have multiple characters in the same thread but that option is open to you, too.
