There was something about dancing on the edge of the pack's territory that appealed to the young heiress. Valeria smirked dangerously as she tread the line in between the neighboring southern pack, Tassos, and her own home. The little black and gold wolf could never understand what the big deal was. After all, Descai was the best pack ever. Of course, that meant that they could do whatever they wanted, right? Val's golden eyes glistened with excitement. She could not wait until she was older and could wander the continent, taking over whatever she wanted and leading like the strong wolf that she was. Her love for her family was strong, but even from a young age she felt the urge to wander and be her own wolf. She did not want to piggy back on her father's position as the alpha. She respected her mother, but she did not have as strong of a bond with her as she did her father. Valeria idolized her father, and she knew she could be just as good, if not better, than him if given the chance. While she loved her father, she also knew that he did not have any respect for the other females in the pack. Of course, she was blood, so he would not treat her that way. But she saw things.Valeria knew that Shayde's pups were her daddy's as well. But they had a different mother. Her father refused to take a mate, and she knew it caused tension in the pack. While she loved her older brothers, she could not help but feel jealous that they were the pups of the beta female while she was just the daughter of a shaman. That was not to say that she did not love her mother; quite the contrary. They had a relationship, but Val was too much like her mother for them to have a buddy-buddy connection. They just butted heads, and she could not do anything to help it. And of course, with her brother Atlas, things were never normal. She did not know what his deal was. He did not seem to be anything like her and her sister; he was so much weaker and did not have the same ideas they did. That made him different, and so that mean he would be ostracized. She did not really care that much. He could go play with the bastard pups. The little black and gold puppy giggled. She knew that her daddy did not much like her knowing that term, but a few times she had overheard him muttering it under his breath when he thought she was not around. The one time that Valeria called the litter that to her face was when her mother smacked her around a bit. While she knew her momma agreed with her, it was still impolite. She hated having to apologize to Angel. She was just such a weirdo, and she did not want to feel responsible to anyone. She was strong and they were not important. She was the daughter of the alpha, and that meant she was better than even Angel or the others. She was destined for greatness, where they would likely stick around here forever. There was a whole world out there for her to see. It was only a matter of time before she seized the opportunity and took with her whoever would follow.Word Count: 572 wordsMuse: So-soTags: Any pups of Descai.Notes: I actually feel really good about getting a post up (:
