Valyn is most notable for its matriarchal structure. Females are revered within the pack and are the dominant gender. The alpha believes that all females can handle anything males can and should be treated equally. The pack is based on the Amazon women and their strength. The name Valyn, meaning strength, symbolizes their position as a family. While the pack historically has been scornful of males and their contributions, Valyn has moved to a more hybrid hierarchy. The members of Valyn answer to one of two leaders: the Seraphim, who heads up the entire pack and reigns over the female hierarchy, or the Prince, who still answers to the Seraphim but has governing power over the male hierarchy. While they operate together as one pack, the split governing allows for each entity to co-exist where the Seraphim had once believed was not possible.

On the day Ryker became the Alpha of Descai, Valeria knew she could no longer remain with the pack. She, along with her littermate, Zofia, ventured from Descai's lands in search of a new place in life. Valeria was set on creating a world in which she would not be looked on as inferior based on her gender. And so the idea of Valyn was born. Along the way, another wolf scorned by her brother was recruited, though Valeria did not truly know the extent of the indebtedness Athena felt to her brother. With some support behind her, the wolves ventured into Tas'alea, intent on making a change in Anikira in the best way they knew possible. And so with the claiming cry, yet another responded. The more cynical Breeze joined the motley crew. From that day forward, Valyn became a safe haven for all females who sought a place in their ranks. The pack flourished and grew at first as the females sought out male companions to father their young. There were many vessels within the pack in the first year, and the pack's membership grew exponentially. It was then that tragedy struck.
As the pups came of age and some ventured out on their own course, the pack grew more unstable. Many of the mothers had chosen to create dens outside of the main pack for their young prior to introducing them to the pack. There was no order amongst the sisters, and their northern neighbors took advantage of the insecurity. Kairos marched upon Valyn, forcing the pack out of their jungle home and taking some of the sisters hostage in their wake. The pack was forced from Tas'alea, and those who escaped fled to Valeria's homelands of Kamari.
The pack there had also been scorned by Kairos, their primary lands of Acerbus ripped from the empire that was swelling. Valeria and Vorilye struck a deal, merging the two packs in exchange for Valeria's word that pack life would change. Though the pack maintained its primarily matriarchal structure, the males were no longer ostracized or looked down upon, and instead they were seen as a necessary asset to the formation of a strong pack. Valeria tasked the monitoring of the males to her dying father until a suitable replacement came of age, and a new age of Valyn was upon Anikira.

Members: 16
Lands: Kamari
Alliances: None
Founding Member(s): Valeria, Zofia, Athena, & Breeze
Seraphim: The leader of the pack. The Seraphim is tasked with the acceptance of new members and general leadership over the pack. The Seraphim is always a younger she-wolf that is highly intelligent and dedicated to the pack’s overall wellbeing.
Seraph: The pack heiress. This wolf is hand-selected from birth and groomed for the position for her entire life. The Seraphim often steps down to the rank of Cherubim to assist the new Seraphim.
Cherubim: Second in command to the Seraphim, the Cherubim is provided the same powers and command over the pack that the Seraphim holds and only defers to the Seraphim. She is able to grant pardons and acceptance into the pack alongside the Seraphim. There may be two wolves at this rank simultaneously.
Prince: The lead male within the male hierarchy. The Prince is typically a son, brother, or mate of the Seraphim or higher ranking females, and he is tasked with the leadership and management of the males within the pack. He is trusted as an advisor to the Seraphim, but ultimately is responsible for management of the behavior of the males.

Archangel: Tasked with the care and wellbeing of the young. This is considered a high rank in the pack as the young are seen as the future of the pack. This wolf is well cared for and highly revered. She is a step below the primary leadership in importance. However, she has little to no sway in decision-making or leadership.
Virtue: The Council of Valyn. The Virtues consist of the lead Fury and Dominion, along with any other wolves deemed worthy. The Virtues are the ones tasked with decision-making in the event of the incapacitation of the Seraphim and Cherubim. They are often the go between for the Prince and Marshal prior to the matter being brought before the Seraphim. They are the most respected wolves of the pack, and the rank is often held by elders.
Marshal: The second-in-command within the male hierarchy. The Marshal is considered the legislator or the male hierarchy. The Marshal is expected to exact punishment over the males of the pack. He acts primarily as a beta wolf to the Prince.

Fury: The providers of the pack. Furies are responsible for providing food for the pack throughout the year. A Fury is lower on the breeding hierarchy, but some may be approved depending on the size of the pack. The Seraphim will appoint a leader amongst the Fury to organize the hunts.
Throne: The healers of the pack. Thrones are well-versed in medicine and herbs. They are quick thinkers and often take on an apprentice to assist with gathering while they are trained.
Dominion: The muscle of the pack. Dominions are the largest and hardiest of the females in Valyn. They are confident planners and crafty in their handlings. While they may be the strongest of the pack, they are required to exhibit above average intelligence and planning. Among the Dominion, a single wolf will be delegated as their leader.
Templar: The male warriors of the pack. The Templars are considered subject to the oversight of the Lead Dominion. They are front line muscle and are rarely involved in any strategic strike.
Inquisitor: The force of reckoning within the pack. This position is reserved for the dirty work of Valyn. This wolf is tasked with eliminating undesirables and any other grunt work required by the pack leadership. They may also be instructed to drive unworthy wolves from the pack.
T I E R - F O U R
Principality: An unranked female of the pack. The Principalities have yet to prove themselves for a rank and must exhibit the appropriate skill in order to advance to the higher tiers.
Squire: An unranked male of the pack. The Squires are basically the servants to their older, more superior male counterparts and, if requested, may also assist the females within the pack.
Vessel: Offspring of the pack. While ranked below all others besides the Deluders in terms of responsibilities, pups are considered to be highly valuable and essential to the pack’s core ideals.
T I E R - F I V E
Deluder: The slaves of the pack. These males are either prisoners of war or those who have stepped out of line. They are expendable and hold little value to the pack.
